*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

What the Hell! There are still issues. Everything was working fine this afternoon. Now when I need to really use it, it is not working. It is extremely slow. And international sites keep timing out. I have sent Ronald my UTID details but have had no response. Please can we get some feedback, and when is this going to be finally resolved. I'm tired of hearing its fixed and then a few hours later, it is broken again.
 
Let me guess how this is all going to end. We’ve all seen this type of situation before:
1. Problem will continue to remain unresolved. The company lacks the capacity and capability to get their systems up and running.... instead they continue to blame Seacom.
2. Customers desert the sinking ship.
3. iBurst will close for the year end break.
4. iBurst does not re-open on the 3rd January.
5. Employees return from leave to find the doors bolted.
6. Equipment and hardware has all gone .... removed in the middle of the night.
7. No one knows what happened. But employees never get paid!
 
What a delightful message accompanying my Iburst statement! Not a word or apology about the problems we have experienced lately.
Why am I not surprised? I have been with this deteriorating ISP much too long to expect anything approaching transparency and honesty.
Iburst - how can you look at yourselves in the mirror each day? I would be ashamed.

Things seem to be up and running now. But I guess it won't last long. Will probably be down again tomorrow.

Does this seem like a pattern?
 
Anyone else having connectivity issues in Durban? There is apparently a fault in Durban. I contacted iBurst and they need examples of users who are having the same issue. So please contact them and give them your user details. I think so far there have been 4 user faults and they need 5 users to esculate it from what they explained to me.

Thanks to Ronald, and Clinton at iBurst in Technical Support for helping me out. Least getting some answers now.

Apologies there was a connectivity to international sites in Durban which was due to a technical problem. There are two separate upstreams, one for local and one for international. The problem has been resolved.

Having trouble loading pages and needing to constantly refresh. Dowloading documents, which i need to do, is out of the question.

Come on guys......wth could be wrong NOW?

Suggest you log your fault... knock on wood, everything appears stable....
 
I keep getting connection resets - pages take multiple refreshes to actually load, although in some cases, not at all. Elsewhere, pages - including MyBB - load incorrectly, like the style sheet isn't loading or something.
 
same problem as Azimuth. Im in the Gardens area, around 100 meters below the tower I believe. Slap that techie up plx.
