*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Anyone else having issues with WoW on iBurst lately. Please let me know where you live. I stay in Wilgeheuwel, Roodepoort.

Had some issues on Wednesday with WoW, constant DC's, Last night latency was at arround 600ms, that went down to about 452ms. Latency went very bad after 21:00 was sitting at about 2000ms, that went down to about 1300ms for the rest of the night, switched of at about 22:00.

Im Staying in Wonderboom South Pretoria.

My latency outside raids is 400ms which is fine, but in raids on Wednesday and Thursday it jumped to 800-900ms and I disconnected a few times as well. Very laggy.

My latency got 10 times better after 11:40 last night, weird heh?

Has been pretty sucky in Edenvale too so dont feel lonley....

Would be nice to have an indication of IBurst's plans for the future need to know If I must consider telkom.

What is going on today? I've been trying to connect to the internet since 11am. And now that I'm connected, I'm getting constantly disconnected and having a lot of browsing issues.

I sat on hold on iBurst's helpline for 10 minutes, so **** that.

Cape Town problems

Earlier today there were problems with the local network within Cape Town. This was on the backhauls from the BTS's. Feedback is that this is now resolved.

Apologies for the inconvience.

It was perfect since 5, but 30 min ago it all shot up and I disconnected from Ventrillo.

It's very bad this evening even on local sites like MyBroadband. I have to reload pages 2 or 3 times just to get them to display properly and browsing is very slow in general. Bellville area. I normally have brilliant signal strength ,stability and great download speeds, but tonight it's the exact opposite.

I think iWurst in Cape Town is screwed again........ Get page resets to myBB and facebook awfully slow

Downloading from sourceforge.... 4kb/s.... superfast internet.......

So im not even able to connect to WoW anymore instant DC's, download speed went from 13kb/s down to 8kb/s, not gettting anything higher than that, looks like it's getting worse by the minute. Seems that every week there has to be issues, really getting tired of this now:mad: Im only using this connection for WoW and for some small downloads from time to time and I can't even do that any more.

Definitely a huge problem in CT. Not getting more than 12Kbps on DL's. Even tried switching off my modem and router for about 20 minutes, thinking it may be that I was being throttled mistakenly, as has happened in the past. I have tons of normal bandwidth left, and the switch off had no effect on latency, download speed and page load errors.

Well just phoned iWurst... fell of my chair when they answered the phone straight away....... They claim they do not have any problems on the network and that it must be my pc...... *sigh* :wtf:

Typical. There seem to be a lot of us experiencing the exact same problem - And we're definitely not all using the same PC...

When trying to use speedtest.net I get the following:

speedtest-1.PNG

and from the iWurst website I get

speedtest-2.PNG

Something really broken out there..............
