*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Some sites not working again. Cell C still have no Speedstick stock. FML and **** iBurst, yet again. Skipped a night with my better half because I had to work, now guess what? :(

I've had problems for at least twelve hours with anything on http://www.guardian.co.uk/. Throughout this period, http://www.downornot.com/ and http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ have reported it up, and the site has been accessible via proxy, but on iBurst wireless without proxy it just hangs, and a ping has just failed. This was a frequent problem domain throughout December's disaster, as it happens.

UPDATE: At the time I wrote, according to http://www.whatismyip.com/, our IP address during the period of the issues described was 196.2.126.175. I have just recently restarted, but cannot check back with that site for my current IP, as it keeps timing out. Immediately after restarting, I was able to access the Guardian site, but now it's back to the same problem. http://www.easywhois.com/index.php?mode=myip reports the same numbers at any rate.

In the last hour I have not been able to access various domains such as www.yahoo.com, www.google.co.za and www.metacritic.com. I can access some minor sites, and can (obviously) access this site. This is like iBurst December fiasco all over again - thank god my termination request is in, and on the 28th Feb I'm done with iBurst...

Number of sites very slow, some fail to load at all. Problem persisting since this morning.

Issues similar to those in Dec, but on a smaller scale (touch wood).

Then it was "peering links", upstream providers", "cable breaks", what is it this time???

Have similar issues.

"Total failure" to follow.

Same here, intermittent connections problems various sites...

Very erratic today. Sometimes Google, myBB, and various others won't connect - just sticks on "Waiting for reply..." Then a couple of minutes later, it's blazing fast. Brackenhurst tower.

I see on the Incident Reports page, Peering Degradation on 02/12/2010 is still "In progress"... Is that so?

iBurst, come on now. Unable to get to sites for days in a row. What the ****? And support number just rings. Who do I invoice for lost earnings?

Please PM me your UTID, so that I can isolate the BTS.
