It would also be nice to what the chaps in the call center where doing? 2 tries the call was 'dropped" before anyone answered, the 3rd try rang for 2.5 minutes and then went completely silent for 30 seconds before I hung up. ?? not even 4 minutes ago.

2 disconnects here as well. One at about 9 and one at about 10:30.

Edit: 1st disconnects I've had in the past 3-4 months.

It was terrible this evening again. Some sites e.g. mail.ovi.com were not opening at all.

For the past 2 weeks, I have been unable to raid at all in World of Warcraft. I live in Honeydew Ridge and my brother in-law who lives in Alberton has the same problem (He also uses Iburst). Latency spikes of up to 20k - normally I get between 300-400ms . I had to use my 3G card to raid these past 2 weeks. Please advise if you have some sort of technical issue on your network.

What is the IP address of the server that you use?

Did a netstat -n -p tcp -b | more

IP's seem to be:

TCP 195.12.243.14:3724 ESTABLISHED [WoW.exe]
TCP 195.12.243.13:3724 ESTABLISHED [WoW.exe]

One would be the logon server - other realm

TCP 195.81.36.2:15605 ESTABLISHED [Ventrilo.exe]

TCP 213.248.127.130:1119 ESTABLISHED [WoW.exe]
TCP 195.12.242.215:3724 ESTABLISHED [WoW.exe]
TCP 195.12.242.215:3724 ESTABLISHED[WoW.exe]

I am unable to properlt play Guild Wars due to horrible lag this week every night and browsing is slow and so are the downloads... can this please be sorted?!

Cable fault 19km from Ladysmith

During the evening a cable break occurred 19km from Ladysmith in KZN. The cable is being replaced and redundant paths are in use. Additional capacity is also being arranged to deal with these type of breaks.
As a result of the above the east coast route is down while the west coast route is still operational. As a result there will be increased latency on international paths.

That all fine and good but that doesn't explain why this mornining I couldn't access mybroadband, facebook, news24 or any other website for that matter except for google and iburst websites. All my downloads failed over the night.... What the hell is going on there and why am I paying Iburst for a service that is unusable. I also can not access the Furk website again.
