*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Still down in Centurion as well ... Connects fine, but now data throughput.

Edit: And it seems the website is screwed. You can no longer login or get to the customer section which shows the incident reports or network status.

Still down in Joburg. Doesn't Iburst have emergency support because the usual techs....don't know how to fix this.
 
still constant connection resets in Cape Town.

This is an absolute JOKE! Im amazed at the length of downtime and issue, and how widespread it is. Im also amazed at the lack of communication from iBurst. What a second rate ISP - how utterly dissapointing!
 
Iburst seems to be down countrywide. I am in Cape Town and it started yesterday morning 25 Feb, and still is not working. Downtime I can understand, but lack of communication keeping customers informed is just poor service. A simple note on the website would suffice so that everyone is aware of the cause, and probable ETA for fixing.

Even if there is no ETA on service restoration, at least let us know.

Pathetic customer service.
 
Pages still wont load fully, speeds are an absolute joke.

Wtf is going on here iBurst.

It is seriously a sad day when I get a better gaming experiance through 3g than through iBurst.

Some time after 10:30 I switched my modem off for a few minutes and then on again, everything seems to be working since then.
 
This morning there were authentication and provisioning problems related to an OSS/BSS upgrade. When the OSS/BSS system is offline then the sessions are not provisioned which results in speed problems. Apologies for the inconvenience as this upgrade is meant to be completed in the early hours but had to be extended.

The issue with local IP transit is a problem especially with youtube. We rely on local incumbents and some of them have been hit hard.

We have an east and a west coast route and have equal capacity on both routes. The east coast route has failed and this has resulted in upstream peering and transit problems which we have to resolve on a case by case basis.

Additionally, we have had some bad weather and a number of towers required power and weather related maintenance.

I run a monitoring system at home off a modem and have had full connectivity and uptime to: bbc, telia, pingtest.net, Ciena, Cisco, Kyocero, Radwin and ubuntu.

-face palm- This guy has more patience than me! Just a quick question, you guys having any outgoing SMTP problems by any chance.. "smtp.iburst.co.za" doesn't seem to work!

Oh, and their SMTP issues are not limited to connecting to their server. I had a BT Internet address reject connections from iBurst due to user complaints. I can't find the rejection notification I must have deleted it.
 
Still waiting for iburst to phone me back for my cancelation but it seems like they want to charge me another 600 bucks for nothing

Just stopping the debit order will result in them handing you over and getting a bad credit rating.

Some Youtube vids can actually be watched now (they load now, but still buffering extremely slowly).
