*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Seriously getting fed up with this. No word from iburst and i'm sitting with 1200ms latency in wow. Impossible to run raids or even hc's. Would really like to know whats going on. Even with the cable break it hasnt been this bad.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we have decent speed so we can actually use the 55+GB of data we have instead of it going to waste!

Downloaded the eyeburst software to check load etc last night im able to connect to both wonderboom and mountain view tower and on both the load is on 3

Half speed, can at least browse the net but most pages take two or three refreshes before loading properly, most Youtube vids do not load, and downloading Youtube vids to watch later takes hours (downloaded a 12Mb 15 minute long vid this morning and THAT took 3 and 3/4 hours to download.......).

All I can say is luckily we only have one year left of this contract after being iBurst customers for +-10 years:confused:

Must have to do with tower load...My speed during the day is pathetic, but after 11pm, it all of a sudden goes up and I can download almost full speed.

I was at the Iburst office a few months ago and asked them if they were gonna put up more towers, but apparently they working on 4G or something and are not gonna put up more towers...

Just the fact that Iburst keeps accepting more and more customers, will explain the decrease in our speeds..
We been customers with Iburst for years, but all I can tell you now, as soon as this contract is done, we will be gone..

If Iburst doesn't want to increase the amount of towers, then at least stop accepting new customers. Iburst's loyal customers are getting crap speeds now, compared to what they used to have, not fair in my opinion...

yay long weekend. Thought i would get some wow time in. Guess what, 1.2k+ latency again. I'm really fed up. I'm actually going to find out next week how much its gonna cost me to cancel this contract early.

So, load on the tower is apparently 2, but speed is still up to bollocks.

Please cut our monthly payment to iBurst in half seeing as we are getting less than half the speed we pay for.

Sorry, but this is utter BS now.......

Load on tower our 2Mb modem connects to is apparently 1, signal is 100% but why is this happening:

And our 1Mb modem does a maximum of 0.35Mbps also with full signal strength. Please let me know how we can cancel this shoddy ISP service so we can get a decent service provider. Thanks.

u telling me im getting constant dc from battle net every 5 minutes even if im capped or not during the day i get maxed 0.3mb/s utter bs

Your 2Mbps modem is almost twice as fast as your 1Mbps modem, so it is working correctly.
If the load on the base station is low then I suspect the problem is with that base station's backhaul links.

My son has been complaining that playing DotA online has been impossible for the last week or so due to lag, even on local servers.
HoN and COD4 have been playable though.

To quote a friend of mine who lives in Durban:

"Having this slow iBurst download speed is like having a Porsche GT2 RS that is limited to 100Hp and 80kmh."

A little better than yours, but in terms of practical use. I have my desktop where I can play an online game and stream from a UK radio station at same time.

The only real problem I have is youtube has to queue and buffer before watching.
