*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Yeah, I'm experiencing very slow international speeds as well. Downloads are crawling along ...
The timing is a little scary, considering what most of us went through late last week ...

Lets hope not I don't want to go though that again...please no....Just did another speedtest, crawling along at 0.24 download. Upload is fine....

Yeah, same here. I mean, I've had miserable speeds for over a year, and last week Thursday my problems finally came to an end. It finally looked like I would have a decent connection with good speeds. Then that whole cable problem happened. Now, just as that's been fixed, and just as I'm starting to get used to my better internet connection, this happens once more ...
The world isn't fair sometimes ...

Just phoned iBurst. They said there are a few (unspecified) problems, but they're only affecting certain areas in Joburg. I was given a list of the affected areas, and promptly forgot them as I was told that my area was unaffected. So apologies for that. My memory can be very selective at times. Despite that, I'll double check everything once I get back home.

I phoned them as well, the answer I got was different to yours, they told me that there is an issue and it will be resolved by the end of today, according to the person I spoke to it was all international traffic.

Lets hope this does not end up like last weeks debacle.

:(

I'm more inclined to believe what iBurst told you, Stõrmza. Just got back home, and international download speeds are really bad. So all we can do is hope that it'll be fixed today ...
At times like these, we need r00i.

Yeah, I don't think I can do with another repeat performance like last week ...

Pathetic...

Download Speed: 75 kbps (9.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 132 kbps (16.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 409 ms

I have a theory that someone at iBurst is purposefully doing this so that they can download using all the international bandwidth from the iBurst datacenter. Until proven otherwise thats my story and I'm sticking with it! :p

thanks to whoever worked on resolving this much appreciated!

I am sick to death of this crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know what's going on at iBurst? This is really ridicules.

Everything used to be great in the past. I was really satisfied with the speeds for my day to day usage.

I've been struggling with extremely snail paced internet for a few weeks now. I mainly use internet to connect to my LOCAL servers at the office to do work, but I can't for the life of me work like this. It takes ages just to get a response from a single mouse click. Not even to mention normal web browsing, some pages doesn't even load completely. MyBB take about a minute to open up.

Come on iBurst! How little can a company care about the service they offer?

I have to laugh, Speedtest.net says my internet connection is slower than 99% of ZA!

0.14Mb/s down and 0.04Mb/s up @ 520ms ping.

Even dial up was better than this.

Please iBurts, I beg of you, sort this mess out!

No browsing (apart from gmail client) and no emails (well I only received 3 instead of my daily deluge), webmail from 3G dongle does not work either.
