Missus said the signal is back up at home - in Waterkloof area. Have tested the throughput/latency/packet loss etc. Seems to be working fine now

Anyone been having intermittent issues with international websites that have no local cache loading very slowly or not all all?
Damn annoying, it’s been happening every few days or so for the last few weeks.

@Afrigirl any idea on your side what's up with mtn the last week or two? As above and with other very intermittent connection recently.

It works for a minute or 2 then off then works, rinse and repeat

MTN Engineers are still investigating and working to resolve this as soon as possible. There has been improvement in certain regions and parts of the network but no overall network recovery.

There are configuration changes which are being rolled out throughout the network and that should continue service availability.
