Hello, MTN has notified us of the current issues with LTE services. We are actively working together to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Eh, are we in agreement that VoLTE has no link to data services itself?
Just saying, because while this could be true the actual service Afrihost offers isn't anything to do with VoLTE.

Perhaps they sent something else, more conclusive, for the data related outage? Its been ages now!
 
I'd love to know the revenue impact to MTN, in terms of, lost potentially used data while they had the outage.
Someone has a fun report to write... :)
 
Whatever MTN fixed, they did good, for whatever reason, I could watch World Cup Football on iPlayer tonight with out any issues. Dayum. Why can that not be true every evening?

Surely most people are on prepaid anyway? And for me having to switch from Afrihost APN to mtn I had to buy MTN data. Not sure how they've lost money when bought data will just be used in the hours following when the issue is resolved.

That is the big feck up - all those who lost a day of work - as if load shedding is not a big enough killed of productivity already.

Will see how it performs tonight - my RAIN 5G arrives this morning.

So will be testing that as well - if the SIM gets RICA'ed timeously.

Unfortunately where I am Supersonic or RAIN are my only options. Not in Supersonic 5G coverage area.

Exact description of the issue:
Time that the issue occurs:
Error Messages if any:
Exact Location (Street address etc):
Handset/Modem Type:
2G or 3G:

I will try and assist with these ongoing issues.

MTN is dead I am 100% sure it had a shtfit and died nothing fcking works. We can't phone, send emails or anything. Essentially MTN doesn't exist. I would rather castrate myself with a spoon then go back to Vodacom but I am not going to have a choice soon... That spoon doesn't look friendly at all.

thankfully the boss pushed mtn on all of us so she is working on a deal with Cell C hopefully we will be up and running from Monday again but yea MTN is really trying to be the worst there is.
 
How I absolutely regret getting MTN fixed-LTE. Three weeks ago my signal strength went from full 5 bars to only a single bar and the speeds dropped to unusable. Is there some kind of MTN spokesperson on this forum that can maybe help chase this? If my debit order were as unreliable, they would blacklist me in a heartbeat and hand me over for collection, yet when they don't deliver what I pay for, they just shrug it off and "We're investigating it...".

Followup MTN still sht, still not fixing their sht and so i am thinking it is time to jump networks. My only explanation for MTN's sht is they forgot they are actually a company with clients.
 
Mtn has been working flawlessly for me of late, even during load shedding , legends!
 
MTN Meilmesbury no signal. I am going to the devil for better service
 
MTN Port Alfred up maybe 1 day in the last 5 days .. posting this using TelkomSA network .. plenty of unhappy MTN users here signing up with TelkomSA.
