Red Vodacom branding appears

If I squint and look at the logo all I can see is "Vodacon" because of the typeface they have used.

Strangely I am excited about this. Have been for a while and now I am glad it is happening.

Please note that this is not official branding - merely the likely branding ;)

Official launch is set to be taking place on 1 April (again not official).

Unless they start acting like Vodafone I couldn't give a crap if their colour is blue, red, green or a sort of mauvish-pink.

Get proper contracts with enough data for a person in the 21st century. (Or at least the 20th) Like Vodafone

Match your prices with Vodafone's

Offer the same service as Vodafone (ie sales people who actually have heard of the phone you want and don't look at you like you're from Mars if you ask for a Class 4 MicroSD card)

Let us actually try out a phone before spending a whackload of our increasingly hard-earned money on it, instead of a plastic/cardboard cut-out. Like Vodafone.

Then also, let us return the thing if it suddenly stops working while under warranty and give us a new one, finish and klaar. None of this waiting seventeen months just to be told it can't be fixed bull****. Like... well you know...

Who cares, it's still the same old rubbish.
+1

With a new branding should come a new approach! Companies just don't rebrand unless they're moving a different direction or doing some new and innovative! Vodacom are doing nothing or at least not even giving a hint that they are, so why are they re-branding and why the hell should we care? Give us cheaper mobile data, better call rates and contracts then maybe I'd pay attention to these superficial changes because of customer loyalty!

Cell C went black
Vodacom is going Red

I guess Mtn will go Green...

"Strong Vodafone look" is a bit of an understatement. Looks like they just cut and pasted "Vodacom" over "Vodafone" on all the Vodafone branding - wow that must have taken a lot of effort...

Well I hope MTN's marketing dept. is smart enough to know that after spending billions over almost 2 decades in burning a brand and associated colour into the population's subconsciousness, the worst thing you can do is... change the brand and associated colour.

Btw, during Saturday's Super15 matches there was a major red questionmark on the grass instead of the Vodacom brand. Who else noticed?
