Quite a few online video providers now block well-known VPN IP addresses.
"access to this resource is forbidden by access policy" means the IP address your using isn't allowed to access it.
 
Hi

I have MyGica player and have the known problem with the DSTV app. I installed the DSTV addon for Kodi (updated to latest version). I also installed the widevine addon but when testing the widevine stream it doesn't do anything. Same thing on the dstv addon it shows a play icon next to the channel for a second and then does nothing.

Any ideas?

Can someone pls give a step by step to get the EPG working for DSTV Now? I am using a pi 3B with Libreelec. DSTV Now is working fine as well as Showmax. If info is already posted, just post the link. Thanks Matt and Jeremy, stellar work!

Everyone, Matt has just pushed updated Widevine DRM blobs.

To update, go into DStv add-on settings > Playback > Install Widevine DRM
Select Yes to overwrite.
Might need to reboot after it installs.

That should fix the issues.

@NicVegas
Cheap android boxes often don't support Widevine in Android.
If updating the CDM in add-on settings doesn't work - your probably out of luck.

Ping what address from the pi? connect.dstv.com It was the address in the error message, it does not seem to be an account issue as I just tried it on the pc and it works fine. I'm thinking the Old man did something funny or perhaps an update managed to sneak itself through( the addon only...

Thanks then the problem must be on DSTV's side when login in.

Happened when I updated the app and tried to login again.
 
I have access to two DStv accounts. Tried logging into the website with the account I use for Kodi and get an error. Tried logging in with other account on the website an no problem.
 
Just to confirm first account unable to login, however I am able to login with second account in kodi
