[RELEASE] DStv Now KODI Add-on

also, dstv is now blocking the vpn my server was using to generate and cache the dstv epg data.
The add-on should revert back to generating it on your own device.
Will be a bit slower, but should still work.
 
Anyone having issues with the EPG? I'm getting "PVR Manager starting up" and it never does. Just stuck at 0% until a reboot which fixes it for a day, only to repeat this cycle. The addon itself works fine. Running LibreElec on Pi3. Tried a full reset and reinstall but still no luck.

You using latest version of Libreelec?
Not this side (android and windows on kodi 18.9). @JeremySly did mention the EPG is now generating on your own device so maybe the Pi struggling a bit to generate all the info?

Having the same issue, also libreelec and pi3.

Yes the latest version. You probably right that it's struggling. On the 1st merge after reinstall, the temperature symbol came up. Something I've never seen with this before.
 
I've updated Kodi on my Android tv boxes to version 19.0. During the update process it removed a couple of addons that was not "compatible" with Kodi 19 .... viz Sportsdevil and FM4tester. I did not have any other addons as I only use it for Dstv Now. Initially it looked good as I only went as far as the main menu after logging in. Last night it gave me an error when trying to start the addon. I have not looked at the error log yet ... has someone had a similar experience .... seems like I will have to regress back to Kodi 18.9.

No it works fine with Kodi 19. If you use it only for dstv now, uninstall kodi and reinstall it and then add just the dstv now addon.
 
Any one else noticed channels missing, since before the Kodi 19 update, I can't access mnet or movies 1 and 2 anymore as well discovery channel.

Yes. The Premier League channel (203) is missing for me.

Usually got to do with the linking of your smartcard. Try logging in on the website now.dstv.com and if it is missing there too it is probably the case.

Maybe log out .... uninstall and reinstall IPTV Merge and run merge from the addon's settings after logging in again ??
 
Hi guys,

Any idea why Kodi would do this when selecting the higher resolutions on Dstv now? Happens on P30 pro, S20 Fe and Tab A t515

Hi I'm new to the forum. I am not able to watch Dstv on my android box. I followed the instructions from the SlyGuy repository however none of the channels work. A box opens to choose playback quality but no matter what I click, nothing plays. Please help.

The tv box need widevine level 3 at least to play the streams. Install drminfo to check if the box supports it.
