even though i am not an it person, the log i posted clearly shows there is some python issue. not being an it person means i don't know how to take that to the next level.

Yes well not being an it person usually means following a process of elimination or just at least re-installation of one component (in this case the dstv now addon).

Maybe someone else can give their input too.
 
How old is this Ubuntu install? Log complains about timezone info missing in object.

Possibly need to reinstall a new clean version of Linux/ubuntu then new kodi and then new dstv now plugin.

Or at least upgrade every thing.

Could try reinstalling kodi and all its addons first, but there is something wrong with one of the versions of your software.
 
The Big Question: Who originally installed Kodi and this addon for you?

If It was you, you should have an idea how to get to the settings section of the addon as well as how to log out and back in ? :unsure:

Btw, do not need to be in IT to google.

So that says, arrow has this error on Kodi 19 and Windows machines.
Although reports of Ubuntu too.

In short, what @enerdude told you to do.

1. Uninstsall all addons and kodi.
2. Install latest version of kodi v19
3. Add the slyguy repo and install latest version of the dstv now addon.

So again @milomak you do not need to be in IT, you just need to google and see what the solutions are. @enerdude was right on the money, you need to uninstall and re-install everything kodi related on your PC.

Yeah it depends on the individual's setup, not necessarily the case here but I have seen people installing these Kodi builds with with lots of broken addons and then wondering why certain things don't work. Others 'piggyback' on someone else's dstv details and are also afraid of losing access should they reinstall everything.
