Should we keep the reputation system on MyBroadband?

I vote No.

It's completely pointless with the way it is implemented at the moment.

I like it, but my problem is that you have to "spread reputation around" before giving it to the same person again. I find this absurd because I rep if I have been helped etc, and if the same guy helps me twice I have to rep like 20 people who did not help me, to rep him.

I like the rep system as it is. Not obtrusive at all.

Only issue I have is that people don't rep me.

Voted no. The system in this current is useless and obviously being abused in off topic. Lot of buddy back patting for "things happening in PM" apparently, whatever that may mean.

It's been removed :( I personally feel it was encouraging better posts than the usual trolling.

Then disable it in the off topic section.

Cliques, so... no. Ability to rate posts instead of posters or nothing as far as I'm concerned.

Even without negative reps, we still saw the effect of cliques. Agreed on rating posts. Perhaps the person with the most number of reps on a particular post can win a prize or something every month - that might help improve the quality of posts :D Excluding OT, but including some of the OT sub-forums as I've seen some very helpful posts in the Motoring section for example
