We at RocketNet understand that there is an increased number of people who are now wanting to work from home, or are already working from home, who want to take the needed precautions.
Hi @electrofreeze we are considering the various options and will revert back in the coming week.![]()
Free Vumatel fibre speed upgrades
Vumatel and participating ISP partners will upgrade the line speeds of existing users on the fibre network at no additional cost.mybroadband.co.za
will this happen at rocketnet as well?
Well get our team to look into this.

This may be related to the increased bandwidth that EU is currently experiencing as the world has moved to a social isolation model and all networks, both international and local are very busy. This is especially true in Europe and America.@simons @RocketNet-Rep
This is still an issue and worse now. Seeing ~192ms to these servers now.

I am wondering if you do Business Fibre on Frogfoots Business network, not the GPON network
I have a client in PE who is using VOX and they are connected through FrogFoots business network
I am looking at a business line at home as the Frogfoot GPON node here (Summerstrand) goes down with load shedding, whilst the business network is a dedicated link to their main node (Newton Park I think) without any powered equipment in Summerstrand.
The other thing is I would have to use Frogfoot in some way as they have an exclusivity agreement with our building, and I would assume they would allow a business connection through.
If you look at the attached image, you can see that RocketNet to Amazon (52.93.56.56) is around 8ms, then it gets carried by amazons network.
Once it leaves our network and enters amazons we have no control...

DESCRIPTION:
Amazon Technologies Inc.
Amazon transit for all networks has been bad since the WACS break they went back to WACS for like a week but now seem to be routing via east coast. Only way to reduce it back to normal is not using amazon transit and having the ISP carry it - this was discovered on another ISP's thread, apparently Amazon don't care and all they care about is what is the cheapest option, they probably got a deal from like SEACOM or somethingThanks for the info. Who do I contact then to have a look into this?
