Rough seas ahead for MultiChoice

etc. etc.

Great stuff.

How do I access those from my couch with my remote?

How can this company still exist in the modern world?

MultiChoice’s management is well aware of these challenges and has launched a few initiatives to diversify its revenue streams.
These muppets are clueless. Diversify into spaces where they have no expertise (except Showmax).
Supersport is world class and instead of expanding on this even more these dummies pump billions into Showmax knowing the struggles for profit of better streaming services.
They deserve to fail.

Not even. I've had standard Showmax for years, mostly been old content, recently a few modern movies but far from enough and series is too little of the good US stuff that used to be popular on DStv.

I subscribed to Showmax a couple of years ago and really enjoyed their movie and series selection.
I just became increasingly irritated by the limitations of their app and how it rarely received feature updates so I ultimately cancelled in favour of Netflix.

I'm spoiled, used to having top movies quickly from DStv when they used to do that.

DStv had it coming. They deserve it. They bullied the market for far too long. Even bullied the installers and wanted to control everything. Another point is that their movies are as crap as they r. All OLD and repeated several times. What goes around comes around.

Why would anybody keep their DSTV subscription active when you can pretty much watch any series or movie online for free, if you know where and how to? Same thing with sport, so many sites out there where you can stream for free.

Only reason I can think of is if you're addicted to Afrikaans soapies, then KykNet is a must. Otherwise just cancel your subscription like I did years ago.

Yeah no that’s just a PITA for most.

I pay for Netflix and Apple TV. I also watch. Channel 5 and bbc iPlayer. That covers all my viewing needs and it’s still cheaper and more convenient than DSTV.

Problem is when DSTV falls apart. Who’s is going to cover South African sport? SABC? I think not.

True 3rd world country.
