Hi Chaps

I was wondering if any of you know whether either of these routers support bridge mode (for Routesentry purposes):

  • D-LINK DSL-2540U ROUTER ADSL+4PORT SWITCH PDSL-2540U
  • Edimax ADSL 2+ modem / router with 4P 10/100M Switch (ED-AR7084A)

Thanks in advance

You'd be doing yourself a big favour by rather finding a router that supports half-bridge (or PPPoE pass-through). Putting it into bridge mode effectively turns it into a modem and kills any of the other network functionality of the router. Half-bridge lets you dial up your connections while maintaining the rest of routers functionality.

+1

I think pretty much all routers support 'bridged mode'. You want half-bridge!
