RouteSentry for Vista (beta) - please help me test

I got it working using the method you described. LOL.. you guys wont believe this, but I got it working by running Vista through MS Virtual PC on XP !!!
Although its relatively slow, it still works 100%
I first wanted to test and see if RouteSentry works before I installed it on my pc.
Just to clarify a few things:
1) I set my router into bridge mode and entered my Intl account info in the router. Then I went and created a PPPoe connection in Vista for my local account.
Did the above without any problems, so that means my router is running in half-bridge mode then ? correct ? because I always thought there was a "Half-Bridge" setting only.
2) Opening local websites I can still see that it routes the local traffic via the Local Area Connection and not only the local account. So that means when I want to do online gaming, then it will also then route the local traffic through my intl account.. which is not a good thing.
Did I do something incorrectly ? If not, it then nullifies the use of RS then, because it doesnt split the local and int bandwith from one another like it did in XP...

This last line in the explination confused me:

Why both local and international, the point of RouteSentry is to split local and international?
What StoneCold says seems to explain what would happen, so is this the case?

If there was just a registry key that we could modify to increase the number of PPPoE connections that would be awesome, or otherwise try to emulate to one connection to create a second for the other account...mmmmm

In xp when i look at the network traffic for local area connection.. it shows sum of local account traffic and international traffic too. This is due to the fact that PPPoE connection is made thru the Local Area Connection.. i.e. it has to go somewhere to get to router
. You will however see a local PPPoE connection window too showing traffic. If u subtract the two u get the amount of local area traffic /LAN & international bandwidth.

Krycor, so in other words then, the way I set it up according to DanH's method,works correctly then ? even if its still a little bit confusing with it going thru the adapter in the taskmanager ?

Cool so Route Sentry works in Vista.. I just hope antibody also reads this thread so that he can work on compiling a final version for Vista, because the current version expires at 1 June.

Sorry, I didn't explain clearly on the checking part.
You now have two connections:
One made by the router.
And one made by a PPPOE dial up from Vista.
Checking via cntl + alt + del network graphs is just an easy way of seeing where the traffic is going.
But remember that the local area connection graph is all the traffic moving through the network cable plugged into your pc and not a graph of the connection made by the router.
The other Graph is of the connection you made and is just your PPPOE connection made from Vista on its own.
You cannot see a graph of your router connection here, but you can deduce what it would look like by deducting the PPPOE connection graph from the Local Area Connection graph.
Here is a snapshot of what it should look like:

I had this router and had no luck with half bridge.
Luckily it kept on dropping the wifi connection to the 2nd pc so i had it swapped out at the telkom shop and they didn't have stock of it so they gave me the premium combo instead.
I couldn'd find a way to do it, but it seems to be a Aztech DSL600EW

Which operates on a Linux OS. So maybe you can flash it to something else with no Telkom branding that will let you half bridge. The Telkom version source code should be available so somebody could edit it. Not sure if it can be or how to flash it. But so many people have this modem that it should only be a matter of time before somebody finds the cure.
As a last resort I suggest faking a problem and getting it swapped out and then requesting the premium combo (its R100 extra though, maybe pay the difference)

Now the problem is that I will also be sitting with a Mega WR100 (or whatever) if I take the free modem with the Telkom Closer package.
Is their a choice for the Premium combo modem/router when you sign up? I wouldn't mind paying extra, but having to take it back is a las... this is Telkom, I wonder how long it will take just to get everything set up in the first place.

The premium combo is R100 more than the mega. I know canal walk branch ran out of megas this month and were giving premium combos out instead. Check and see if they still are. Otherwise maybe you can put R100 with and get the premium combo if they got megas in again.

After "unchecking" default gateway on remote network, my 'Networking and Sharing Centre' display shows that I've got limited connectivity through my router and/or broadband connection. The diagram also shows that there is an error connecting to mutliple networks and I dont have access to the internet either (even after testing it).
Another thing, clicking on 'Set up routes now' on routesentry gives me a crap load of "ERROR: The operation completed successfully".
Also, in Task Manager under Networking Tab; is there meant to be any activity under the broadband connection vista set up when surfing internationally?
Really hope to sort this out
