@ rpm why don't you guys design a forum section for cellular related problems but place it in the network their relating to.(e.g Now Vodacom forum section is mainly for INTERNET related problems) because this section "Cellular: Phones, Call Contracts, Content" already has so many things...just an idea.

+1 from me. Maybe adding special sections for certain brands (like Sony Ericsson, WHICH RULES BTW) would also be a good idea, but it could get a bit cluttered.

I will most certainly support it. Forums like esato (for Sony Ericssons) are in a similar structure and are among the most helpful resources online.

Well the GSM network section would,lol Vodacom and MTN topics flood theses parts lmao, there could be Stickys there example USSD codes, network coverage requests. You know stuff like that

The special sections for certain brands could have a sub division like the " 3G & HSPA Modems in Linux " section in Vodacom Internet threads to avoid the clutter in this " Cellular: Phones, Call Contracts, Content "

Major bands I see here are NOKIA, SONY ERICSSON , MOTOROLA , LG ,APPLE , SmartPhones (the htc and imates). These forums at times can help in terms of Software updates, applications. I saw how a LG post had alot of support and another post with special applications for the mobile phone, so support?(Which is a good point)..the Proof is around

Ye I agree. I think phone brand specific forums are a great idea. There are alot of South African specific problems for each phone and brand. There are also alot of phone specific "tips and tricks" threads going for certain models. The iPhone tips and tricks thread has 237 pages for instance. I think Apple/Nokia/LG/Samsung/Sony Ericsson/Motoralla/Blackberry sub forums would be a great idea.

I also suggest that each phone manufacturer gets their own sub-section too:

iPhone
Nokia
Sony Ericsson
HTC

etc..

This section is just a mess....
