RROD - I'm desperate

Well - my 360 is still galavanting around the world. I only found out today that DHL picked it up from the repair facility in Prague on the 18th of November and it's been stuck in JNB customs since the 21st!

Guess I'm going to be spending the morning on the phone to DHL.

SAPO/Customs FTL!

They suck man, i've had international packages sit with them for over 3 weeks before. Those are the ones that made it through! I've had registered & insured packages just disappear off the face of the earth with those idiots, and they were just documents, not even product!

Here's my question...the new Jasper comes with a 150Watt PSU whereas the Falcon comes with the 175Watt version (correct me if I'm wrong here). So as I see it the Falcon has to have the 175 PSU to operate properly and same goes for the Jasper.

Now as we know, when your xbox develops a RROD fault they only pick up and replace the actual machine. So what happens if my new Falcon (175) get say RROD in 1 years time? They can't swap it with the improved Jasper since my PSU still sitting @ home ain't the proper one.

So will I always be stuck with Falcon based swop out units?

Nope...they don't accept any cables, controller or whatnot....UNIT ONLY.
It's not inconceivable that they might change that in the future if it became necessary.

Sorry people but I can't resist.

I know how to solve all your problems.

Sell your 360's.

Buy the PS3.

And you will live happily ever after.

:D

Yeah - I know but then I'd have to give away all those awesome games. :o

You have to give something to get something back.

The sacrifice must be made.

Dude if you sell it you'll get quite a big return and instead of Gears 2 just get Restance.

Falcons work fine with the 200w xenon and zephyr PSU's, I knw since my falcon runs fine with my old xenon's psu, Jaspers however have a much lower rated psu and it also has a different power connector thus u wont be able to use a falcon psu on a jasper or vice verse.

The reason why falcons probably still work with the xenon psu's is that it still contain the 90nm gpu from the xenon compared to the jsper models which has all 65nm processors

. . . and still stuck in customs.

Entering week three.

200w power supply only works on falcons cause. After repair microsoft used all xenon boards and put 65nm cpu wit no hdmi. called opus
