S6 explodes in my pocket

Just over a week ago, my Samsung S6 exploded in my pocket.
I was in my car at the time driving to work, but luckily it was peak bumper to bumper, so was stationary at the time.

Was listening to the radio singing along when all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, I heard a loud poof...
Felt the heat on my leg, looked down and saw the smoke coming from my pocket. I immediately thought of the note 7 issue and could not believe this was happening to me.
I grabbed the phone with my thumb and index finger, burning my thumb in the process, and got it out of my pocket as fast as I could...
I tossed it onto the passenger seat and immediately the car was filled with smoke.
I jumped out, ran round the back to the passenger door, opened the door and in a brushing motion, brushed the phone from the seat onto the pavement.

Phone burnt itself out there....

That is hectic. Now worried about my Note 4 when it heats up.

Lol.. easy joking about it now, but what if I was moving at the time... surely it could have led to a serious accident?

Take it to where you bought it and see if they replace it

Samsung has replaced it.. hence the reason for me only posting about it a week later.
What irks me is that there was no concern for me at all...
No apology, no reassurance that they take the matter seriously and will try and identify what the cause was.
They literally treated me like someone trying to put one over them... wanting a payout or something.

I have still not received so much as a personal call from someone in management, to at least give me some TLC.

At the time, my phone was not charging, was not running any apps in the background, and was not hot while in my pocket.

:D

Seriously though, an apology for the inconvenience is the least they could have done.

Naturally I'm teasing. But yes. I concur. I'f it happened to my S6 - you can bet there would be a schitstorm if they tried to fob me off...
