The hatred towards the ANC is actually quite shocking. Their current campaign of “your eyes and ears deceive you, everything is actually great” must surely go down in history as the worst political campaign of all time (for a remarkably open society). If this was communist Russia or China where every news outlet was carefully controlled propaganda and the security forces eliminated all opposition I would understand. But people are allowed to speak freely and most ANC propaganda news outlets have little to no circulation. Social media and podcasts dominate and tell mostly the truth.

Surely they’ve reached the point of no return in their electoral collapse. The handling of the SAPS affair clearly demonstrates that they aren’t even able to snatch extremely low hanging political fruit.

Some historical context may clear up the ANC's reasoning. They're Marxists who were trained in and by the Soviet Union before communism's collapse in 1990. They're stuck in pre 1990 Marxism. The visible indicator of this is that they are the only people who still address each other as Comrade.

They were trained by the KGB in Soviet style propaganda before the advent of social media. Sources of information and lies by omission in the pre social media era could be easily hidden and information outlets controlled. They just cannot adapt to open source information.

Here’s the hard truth: the ANC has been in steady electoral decline for over 20 years. They haven’t reversed it. They can’t reverse it. The numbers don’t lie.

Yes, everyone can see it, even Champ. That's why he never responds to this specific issue, rather skirts the downfall of the ANC with other topics.

It looks like the ANC realized that the DA will not quit the GNU, that strategy of theirs failed. Now they are fabricating ever more cases to be able to eject the DA, but it must be "warranted". I expect an increasing number of these fabrications in the news in coming weeks.

Probably the same reason every useless ANC cadre gets caught with their hand in the tax-payer-cookie-jar... they just couldn't help themselves.
