Will we get an update from government about (1) our relationship with the USA, (2) what we are doing to reduce tariffs and (3) what plan B is if we don't get reduced tariffs?

1) Evil USA must stay out of our business. WE WILL NOT BE BULLIED
2) Jonas is the envoy and Squirrel is happy with his stuff so don't ask
3) Cry victim and ree about how racist the evil West is.

Thank you. I do think it is pertinent to find out, though, considering SA' being a BRICS member. I am going to start a thread in the off topic or motoring thread to ask MyBB motorists who see blue light convoys to report the make of vehicle.

Gayton is investigating his buddy. It's the hardest thing he's ever done, promise...

Patriotic Alliance president Gayton McKenzie has ordered an investigation to establish why Patriotic Alliance deputy president Kenny Kunene was at the house of alleged DJ Sumbody murder mastermind Katiso “KT” Molefe at the time of Molefe’s arrest.

In a live broadcast on social media on Tuesday, McKenzie announced that the City of Johannesburg Transport MMC would be told to stand down from politics, pending the outcome of the investigation.

In a video interview shared on X, McKenzie said: “Kenny Kunene will be investigated and I’m gonna tell you who’s gonna investigate him - lawyers of good character.”

“While he’s being investigated, I’m going to remove him from being an MMC. I’m also going to tell him to stand back from politics for one month until the investigation is done. That’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.”

News24 previously reported that police questioned Kunene about his presence at Molefe’s home.

He said he had no relationship with Molefe and that his visit was innocent.

He claimed to be accompanying a young journalist, who is one of the people expected to take over his online news platform, Africa News Global, to an interview at Molefe’s home.

Molefe is accused of orchestrating the murder of musician Oupa John Sefoka, who was killed in a drive-by shooting in Woodmead on 20 November 2022.

He was arrested alongside alleged triggermen Musa Kekana, Tlego Floyd Mabusela and former detective Michael Pule Tau on Monday.

So, DA didn't have any objections to Appropriations bill and all they needed was to fire couple of people ? Very strange.

What did he do ? I am confused.
He threw a massive tantrum after that Mkhwanazi presser, moaning about the camouflage uniform and the amount of protection, claimed that Mkhwanazi is corrupt and bringing him down is something he will dedicate his life to.

I was hoping to see more of him after that, but maybe he is still digging.

It matters who you approve money to be allocated to. For the same reason you don't ask wolves to look after your sheep...

Being from WC myself, I can already hear how Fapi...diel... ranted...

He and Gayton will destroy the DA, I promise you.

Raging racist and sexist, the best SA has to offer...
Oke is a tikkop and thinks he's the leader of the coloreds.

They all have closet skeletons, even Mkhwanazi. It's strange he is suddenly making so much noise yet has been awfully quiet up till now about every other corrupt official. Maybe he is singing for his next book deal or his YouTube channel is lacking subscriptions.

DA councillors and their weakness to fall for Gayton's charms is something that needs to be studied at one of our best research universities.

Come on Champy, you still haven't said whether you are supporting the PA or the ANC in the NC by-election today.

Is it not that thing that people say about following the proper channels? I mean the only reason you came to hear about this is because he did not follow proper channels.

Besides the high level corruption being exposed now, everyone here will tell you I have always been a Mkhwanazi man, even when it was never fashionable to be, simply for the job he has been doing on the ground in KZN, so if everyone has skeletons, I would rather have someone with skeletons who still go out of his way to keep an ordinary man on the street safe than someone with skeletons who is also useless.

He doesn't struck me as the book type, but I can totally see a good writer like De Ruyter making something out of this, if he could find a way to link it with Eskom cartels, it would fly off the shelves.

sure, but even if we didn't outright insult USA, the ANC still has no f-ing clue how to profit from their better relationships with other countries

India's been making out like bandits the past few years

No question on that front.

But the ANC likes adding fuel to whatever self-created fire they have set and then playing the victim when the other side understandable goes "GFY"

Imagine the reeing if the sanctions against ANC leaders bill in the US passes (probably since it had somewhat bipartisan support)...

I won't lie, I got past the first 10 pages of AdR's book and was already bored. I think it's because I knew that even if the corruption was as bad as he claimed, there wasn't any real meat on the bones. It was a good story but not one to flee the country over.

But this, drug cartels and names and receipts, is a whole different ball game. I'm not surprised he came with his armed and masked entourage. I don't think the proper channels would have helped Mkhwanazi. These drug cartels would have had him in a body bag before he reached his garage door.

Never a dull moment. He has done a good job up till now in KZN from all accounts I've heard.
