I think people are just getting worked up for nothing to be honest, I listened to his statement and he explained clearly that he cannot second guess the police as they are the ones in the field facing dangerous criminals.

No idea where the shoot to kill thing comes from, maybe it was posed to him in some interview, people are probably reading too much into it.

My only problem in this whole thing still remains Masemola, the man has proven himself to be very pliable and open to allowing politicians to do things and turning a blind eye. He is a coward and as long as he is there, proper leadership would never happen and it would be left to brave provincial commissioners like Mkhwanazi.

Edit: I'd also prefer someone with a similar political nous/skill set of Helen Zille. I also don't think Steenhuisen is the best available leader for the DA out of the current talent pool.

Surely he wouldn't cave without a good reason? It means he had nothing to defend the Karen with.

And if Steenhuisen caved what happened to Zille, why would he allow John to remove her without a good reason?

Last time I had a lekka half-chicken and chips at Killarney CC, there were all kinds of races in there with me, every race was represented. Everybody was chilled, doing their thing, enjoying the space, munching, having a beer, you know, social stuff.... how is this now a "white-people" thing????
