SA Post Office Strike

My USPS order left the US on 14 September. It has not been scanned in SA yet. Has anyone else been waiting for this length of time? Should I assume the parcel was pilfered?

I've got Customs clearance processing complete on August 20, 2014 , 9:34 am

My parcels left the States on 5 September last year too. Have an international tracking No. Still no local tracking number

I thought I would give EMS a try again and it's a godamn nightmare. I have 2 packages that left for SA on 2 February so they are obviously in the country but it is impossible to get a local tracking number or to find out where my parcels are. I have tried phoning Cape Mail probably 50 times but nobody answers. JIMC do not answer their phones and [email protected] do not reply.

The site ems.sapo.co.za does not work, so I have no idea what is going on with my parcels! Does anyone know who I can phone/email to get some answers?

EMS is working faster this week than last week.

Item arrived in JHB yesterday. Arrived in CPT this AM. Was out on the road by the early afternoon.

Of course it left Kyoto a week before that. But that's better than a TW item which was in limbo for 2 weeks.

My one EMS package was last scanned 2/2/2015 2:04 AM Departure from outward office of exchange GUANGZHOU EM. It says that the package is 'on route'. How can it not be in the country 12 days after it supposedly left China? It's a package worth over R5k so I'm seriously peaved.

I had a parcel sent by 'slow' HK post 2 weeks before this and it was in the country in 10 frikkin days. Now I have 2 EMS packages that are taking longer than regular airmail post. WTF.

Ag for vark steaks! My stuff has been in SA for more than a month before I get told to provide customs with valuation details. I seriously hope these tools over at SAPO decide to take up gardening and then a rabid mole bites them all and they die with foam at the mouth.

Same here, but wasn't told this. I had to send my international tracking number to JIMC to find out that this was the case.

Your item departed our USPS facility in LOS ANGELES, CA 90009 on January 29, 2015 at 11:41 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

How can it be in transit since 29 January? It was supposed to have left LA in December already. This is from the Endicia site. The USPS one seems inaccessible atm.
