Has anyone received their N3 yet? Is it region locked in SA too?

Also silly as it prevents people from buying a phone in Europe, and then bringing it here...

Exaggeration! more like most powerful smartphone on the Planet

Um, I obviously meant the KNOWN universe. We haven't discovered any sign of even microscopic life outside of earth, let alone advanced civilisations capable of making something like a Note 3. As far as we know this planet is the only one in the universe with life and therefore smartphones on it.

Dafuq? I had just made up my mind to not wait for the LTE model and get this phone this weekend but I'll pass. Think I'll go for that LG with the uber battery or wait for its Nexus incarnation. Very shady of Samsung to only divulge this info when actually buying the damn phone.

Why wait? Get an LTE model now. Ours aren't region locked, it's only in Europe and the US. And as others have said, those can be bypassed. Overreact much?

looks like the LG G2 is the better option in this case, since the price of the note 3 is ridiculous.

Where can I get the LTE now locally?

Sorry that you felt I was overreacting, but if this locking is so easily bypassed then why do it in the first place? And why not inform customers until they actually saw the sticker on the packaging? I saw smoke, therefore thought fire.

Vodacom shops. See Ockie's deals thread, they only have the LTE version. Nashua seems to only have the non-LTE.

As for the locking, the cellphone networks probably bullied them into it. But still, it doesn't affect us.

I would like to see other SP's create customised contracts like Cell C!

I choose the minutes, SMS's and Data and then it give me exactly what I want and I pay the price that got calculated.
I don't need 400 minutes or 800 SMS's but I will need at least 800Mb data

My perfect contract:
120 Anytime minutes
20 SMS's
1Gb Data
Note 3 :D

Ockie give me this deal and you will get a new client ;)

Still waiting on what Telkom Mobile will be offering....

If it comes with the 5GB data, it's the best deal in South Africa.

What to do, what to do... I see they have it on Top-Up 315 (Just got my upgrade message yesterday :D) However its R169 more than what I currently pay pm for my S2  Is this just Ockies prices or all Vodacom shops? I would definetly rather support a fellow MyBBer if i decide to stay with VC and not bite my tongue for three more months and go to TM. Also those who are getting the note 3, white or black?
