Sadly Vodacoms 'Smart' deals dont cut it with their miniscule data allowances. After 10+ years with Vodacom, I will be porting 3 contracts within the next month. The Telkom mobile data allowances seem attractive, will check them out

Yeah, wish I could do that too, unfortunately my work decided we have to go/stay with Vodacom. Teensy data bundle it is...

I'm definitely not get it at these prices, what are these people smoking?

It's only about R100 to 150 per month more than a Note 2's CURRENT price. Not quite sure what you people were expecting to pay for the most powerful smartphone in the universe. It certainly is a lot of money but pretty much on par with everything else.

So, of those people getting - are you waiting for the N9005, or going ahead?

I think what people were hoping and people expecting is two different things. I was hoping for R399 / R429 - but then again this is only R60 more than that.

I'll go ahead. Waiting for the LTE version will be another long tedious wait. The retards at Vodacom will take forever 'testing' it. I waited forever for the Note 2 LTE, and eventually went for the non-LTE.
Besides, the LTE version seems always to have less memory and I have no LTE yet in my area.

I think the prices are quite competitive! Certainly getting what you pay for.

On what basis will it outperform the S800? Quad-core functionality is still useless in Android, never mind octo-core...

Well in theory, No basis sorry - Update

I will definitely be waiting for the LTE version hey

I hear you on it being R100 - R150 more per month BUT the contracts Data should be upped to a minimum of 500MB

I was hoping for R399... Hell I would even go for R429 but I am NOT paying upwards of R500 for a contract at the moment.

Cellphone contracts have become ridiculous over the last two years!

I got my iphone 4 when it came out for R250 a month... now the prices on contracts have almost doubled.

They do drop a few months after release though.

These prices are for the bundle - Galaxy Note 3 AND Galaxy Gear.

Wishful thinking :whistling:

I have been able to upgrade since April but have been waiting for something I like, this is it but I doubt the price will drop. iPhone5 and the S4 still costs the same. Both of them have been out for MONTHS. Seems like 399 is roughly the minimum for a top end phone these days. With the newer ones being 529 and upwards (vodacom)
