by the way, what sim does it use? they were giving out free starter packs at one of the intersections in pinetown yesterday. unfortunately i got two vodacom and only one cellc.

keen to give the cut-your-own-nano/micro-sim thing a try. i'm gonna have to get a new sim anyway, so where's the harm in trying?

Micro-SIM. There is no harm, cutting the cards works perfectly fine provided you're careful.

Now there's rumours of a Note 3 with Flexible display, do I wait ANOTHER month, I wonder?

It will be a whole new phone, they won't rerelease the Note 3 with a flexible display, that's too big a change to make for a refresh in a few months. Not to mention those devices are still very new and they'll need at least a generation to work out the kinks.

I see that's the N9000, rather than the 9005 (LTE) version. If the S4 experience is any guide, there will be far fewer ROM's for the 9000 than the 9005, so I hope someone is bringing in the 9005. Anyone know?

"exynos" does not make it crappy, but the lack of 4K video does IMO. Byt the exynos one will get a software update later in the year which will(should) outperform the Snapdragon...

Yeah that will be free shipping but import tax will be about another $50 and It's International shipping which is a little sketchy at times. I won't trust buying from Ebay if I'll only save like R100...
