I spoke to Samsung in Canal walk. They will have stock the 26th but the price I was given was R12999. I was going to buy it cash but not at that price :) Luckily my cellphone contract upgrade is the 1st of October so I will see what options vodacom give me.

Anything over 10K would be crazy and a HUGE mistake from Samsung.

Well this sucks because it will probably cost in the region of R500 or more per month on contract, seems like I will have to hold on to my Note 2 for a little while longer.

I think it can be a R429 - R469 contract on a Smart S contract, but let's see.

*Yesterday I dropped my S2 from the table onto the floor (wooden floor), absolutely no scratches, nada.

Then I thought to myself..... imagine it was my Note 3?

Unfortunately even at that price it would be too much for me, I'm trying to scale down on my monthly cellular expenses.

Don't think price will be over 10k,already some places taking orders for just over 10k.
Hopeful that it would be around 9k from Samsung store.

If it's R10000 cash, then I'm out of the race.

Way overpriced in any case.

i saw rumours of a flexible display version around october. wonder how true. i imagine they must be rushing to have the honour of going down in history as the company to sell the first flexible display phone.

Don't worry, Apple will release one 5 years later and the iTards will praise the innovation as usual.

Maybe Samsung got jealous of Apple charging Apple tax for all the iFruiters, and wants to start charging a similar Samsung tax?

I'm torn between getting the Note 3 and keeping my Note 2. The Note 3 does look like a awesome device, not sure however that it's worth R9k.
