All Vodashops, the deals come from head office or something. He just posts the same lists the clueless bastards in the shop will pull out after looking at you with a puzzled expression if you ask about a Note 3.

Also, Ockie mentioned something about only getting commission on new contracts so upgrades won't help him.

Just got Note 3 lte version from Vodacom, on Smart m,contract for R539 (includes R10 caller id ...R529 + R10)
Samsung rep in store helped me with registering for ADH premuin.(Its just a sms you send to 34622 with imei no and hashtag. )
You get confirmation straight awayafter sms
 
ok so i'm definitely porting after seeing the Vodacom data allowances on Smart S and M. When will Telkom Mobile Deals be out? Cant wait anymore!!!

How are you going to 'cope' with 300MB per month? :erm:

yes i will cope .The 300 mb is " small change" for my weather apps update,
an email or 10,and twitter, to use if i am not at home.!
.i have 2 x other data bundles each..(6gigs each)
In total 12 gigs, which i use in my home network.(.wifi !)
so i have no data problems
 
Vodacom Menlyn has the LTE model in stock for R9999. They have 20. They salesman did tell me it comes with a 2 year warranty but if you use a simcard other than vodacom you lose a year. Bleh. Anyone know if the vodacom version comes with any kind of vodacom apps?

yes, Vodacom lte comes with vodacom splash screen,an unlimited music app ? and i saw vlive also mabe some other,have not done 100% check.Busy reinstalling my old apps from Note 2.sorry ?

What phone did you previously have? And what's your opinion on its size?

Also just picked up my N9005, this beast is even faster than my Note1 with custom ROM. Don't think I'll be loading custom ROMs anytime soon. Now to root...

Popped in at Telkom Mobile again, the sales person said that they will be bundling the Note 3 + Smart watch, but no word on contracts yet. :(

Yeah it's a worthy upgrade from my Note1.

It has a mega ton of bloat though, which is to be expected from Samsung. Other thing bothering me is that rooting causes some flag to be raised and so I'm a bit relunctant, will give it a few more days so that a workaround can be found.

But yeah, I especially love the responsiveness of the screen to touch, which is the only thing that made me jealous of the SU's iPhone5.
 
Well a Note 1 is very old by now so it should be a huge upgrade.

Rooting causes that stupid exclamation mark to appear at boot, like on the Galaxy S4 or newer versions of the S3. Those are easy to remove when going back to stock though, should you need to. They should have it sorted for the Note 3 as well soon.

And the screen? Is it the same/better than the S4?
