Almost half the screen on time of the battery time. Almost ideal. Performance and stability are just as impressive.

Took the plunge and rooted my n3 on saterday morning. And must say I am really impressed so far. Loaded x-note v15 and loving it. Specially the battery....

Hi. Which method did you use? The method I saw trips Knox warranty ect and causes Knox to give warning messages till you disable it.

Want to get rid of all the Evernote, Chrome, Chaton junk, but don't really wanna root a 4 day old phone :D

Otherwise I love this phone! Love the size especially since its a full HD screen. Keep discovering new little features. Build quality just feels so much better than my old S3.

Just wish that the cover I want wasn't about R500 to import :(

Did some research and once you have updates to 4.4.2... doesnt matter, which ever why you go at it, trips knox. Dont mind as I get a lot more out of the device and battery life is awesome. Easiest way to get rid of the knox messages is load a custom rom like x-note. It is worth it.

If I am you hold of till 7day exchange has past, then root it.

The cover you linking to, there is a similar cover by bodyglove which I have. Looks almost identical to the link.

Do you still have S-Pen functionality after flashing the custom rom?

If its any of those, it looks nothing like the spigen imo

Cool. Haha so I'd have to use X-Note to get so many icons onto the screen? :D

almost :) What makes it even more great is that you have to option to change the dpi of the screen ranging from 289 to 480 with a built in app. All the samsung apps have been edited to support multi-dpi. Got mine on 330 and it is 10x better than 480.

Yes, it is a fully customized samsung rom, have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472301

Mine is lime green. Just to confirm, custom ROM + root voids ADH Warranty?

My ADH still shows active and in place. But not sure if does void it. In my opinion, it has nothing to do with the os and wouldn't void it.

go to settings/general/about device/status/device status

what does it say?

Also surprised by that one. Did even checked as I knew it will always show custom when loading a custom rom.

You can do it..... Trust me it is worth it. My note3 is listed under my household insurance as well. So I dont care about samsung and their warranties telling me what I can and can not do with something I bought.

As far as I am concerned, android is open source and we are allowed to do what we want with the os. If you have the knowledge to do so.

Yah. I'm rather pissed off that you are limited to 16 icons on a screen that can do full HD. I hate playing on high end Android phones (and tablets) that can do glorious resolutions but the size of the interface stays the same. On my Note 3 I have changed the text to the smallest size and even smaller in Whatsapp.

They are practically forcing you to root your phone :erm:

Before I rooted (even now), I use nova launcher pro. Changed the grid to 8x8 and changed icon size. Made a huge difference to the appearance.
