Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (previously Note 6)

Like our service providers will have a clue anyway...

I have asked MTN, they said maybe November, not sure, Cell C said the same thing. I did not bother with Vodacom, because even if they do get it soon and have stock, their useless systems will make it impossible to upgrade or do anything useful. I am really getting fed up with service from all of the "service" providers.

Agreed. Surely they have a business plan which is influenced by the flagship entries into the market. I just wanna swear right now.

The Galaxy Note 7 will launch in South Africa on 11 November, said Samsung.

Okay so 11 November
Damnit that's a month away. It's ridiculous if phones have already been shipped worldwide.

Yoh, a replaced device too. All note 7s are banned on saa

The thing is i don't fly much but if i have to fly it means leaving the phone at home if SAA had banned them altogether cos the blowing up even when off. Wtf!

I can see more airlines banning the Note 7, this SouthWest Airlines Note 7 must be the ultimate nightmare for Samsung, a brand new phone, verified to be supplied as a (supposedly) safe replacement phone direct from the network (so not able to rubbished as a fake or a set up) that was switched off and not charging yet still burst into flames in front of a large audience of independent witnesses.

Couldn't be a worse scenario unless the phone had caught fire after the plane took off I suppose.

The worst is that this could affect all Note users, the Note 4 and Note5 look a lot like a Note7 to the untrained eye, and you could be asked to leave whatever Note you have behind.

Samsung need to just discontinue the Note7 and continue pushing the S7 and S7 Edge. Its over for the Note7.

I would say the note 7 looks even more like the s7 edge
