Have you got the tracking number? If not email them.

Then go onto the courier's website and enter it under tracking. So Royal Mail Express probably... If youre using standard posting and the parcel is in SA already phone SAPO and ask for a local tracking number (ii number) and give them the international one

Their tracking site doesn't work properly.

Check your email from UPS. Gmail marked mine as spam.
Title looks like: UPS Ship Notification, Tracking Number 1Z575A0###########

Otherwise just phone handtec and ask.

Mine has arrived.
Haven't switched it on yet, thought I'd leave it on the charger for a couple of hours first.
It's so pretty. :)

Customs was R1086 and Handtec was R4319.

UPS have great service, makes we want to import something else.

Thanks, i emailed them them this morning and they replied saying tracking details will be sent in the next 48-72hours. Why are those 'baskets' taking so damn long, i was hoping to have it by Tuesday the lastest. Please do tell of your experiences with the phone within the first few days. I cant wait anymore. lol.]

I gave the hacked Google Maps Navigation another test. I drove from university to home, about 25km. Even with the latest unofficial 2.1 firmware (the last one before the 2.2 versions) it still randomly loses accuracy on the freeway. But on the slower roads it seemed fine.
It was cloudy this time. But still, this isn't right. sometimes the circle that indicates accuracy wasn't even touching the freeway that I was on.

I'll give something else a test next time like Co-Pilot. I guess the fact that the Google Navigation is both beta and a hacked version means I can't expect it to work properly.

It's a pity we don't have any good free navigation for Android. The Nokia navigation may not be great but it worked ok.

Should be here by Tueday, just relax.

Mine, from Jacob-Computer.de has just arrived. It is taking all my restraint to let it charge fully before starting to explore the functions. It cost Euro 450.40 including Eu 69 shipping with DHL. Customs was R1001.41, so in total I paid around R5.4k. They don't accept credit card, so I had to use Paypal. It is probably easier to use Handtec. It does seem to pay off to phone the courier once the item is in the country. Mine was "on hold", but I only found this out when I rang DHL, and then I was able to drive to their depot and fetch it.

Now for a few days of learning how it works while I pluck up the courage to upgrade the firmware.

Weird they charged me 89 Euro for shipping. Ah well. 450Euro including VAt though, 378 excluding which is what you should pay + shipping.

google maps nav is fixed in 2.2. Navigation works perfectly with CoPilot even on 2.1

Good to know. I'm avoiding to 2.2 ROMs for now due to the bug reports I've read, sticking to the latest 2.1 which is serving me well.
I'll upgrade to 2.2 when a good one comes with the major issues fixed.

Must have app: PSX4Droid :D
Playstation emulator. Sure beats the usual catalog of cellphone games. Still needs work though, NFS High Stakes is laggy. Maybe a good Froyo firmware will fix that too.

For those interested in a bumper case and screen protector have a look on ebay uk. Got mine both for R60 including shipping from the uk. Shop was called cellapod

Upgraded to 2.2 last night and it seems pretty impressive so far

Using JP3. Third 2.2 build for sgs. Don't think its a leak anymore. It's an official testbuild

Will give it a go.
Are you using the Lag fix from mimocan with that build? Or is it quick without it?
