Why did I need patience? :confused: I phoned the number after I posted, got through to a consultant IMMEDIATELY, placed my order and will have it in my hands this Friday... :D

EDIT: To those interested, I'm on a Talk 120 and had the option of R1499 pay-in or R74 x 24 finance. They also waived my upgrade admin fee...

LOL, it seems I was the only one holding on for 20 minutes, let see who get their new gadget first;)

Can onfirm the upgrade fee on a talk 240 is R1149. Also admin fee was waived. Should have mine delivered on Friday.

This was indeed a nice bonus today!:)

Well, if all goes well I'll have mine this Friday... Maybe staying in Midrand is a bonus, seeing as Vodaworld is here and all. But who knows, hey? :p
 
So who is getting there phone first? Want to know if the touch screen is one of samsungs messups or if its performing as it should. My last samsung touchscreen phone was utter crap! Also want to know if the GUI is as responsive as most of the youtube videos show it is.. Most of the time its nothing close to that because of all the uber branding vodacom and mtn likes to crap on the phones. Battery oh battery, please tell me this phone is not a one day wonder. I want a phone that will last atleast 4 days with some screen and power tweaks.. So who ever gets it first, give ups a nice proper review..
 
Vodacom are the ones who love branding !!

my last 4 mtn phones have had no branding.

Just go to your nearest store, they will have to phone and find out if you are able to get discount on your upgrade.

I'm at a small store, but at least we get all the info, and I love Samsung.

Well I've had mine for more than 3 weeks. The touchscreen is excellent, as good as the iPhone. Even the multi-touch is precise unlike just about every other capacitive screen.
The phone is a "one day wonder" unfortunately, at least if you're like me and don't make any effort to save battery. I pretty much leave every battery killing feature on though. I think you could make it last two or 3 days with some effort, maybe more.
It always makes it through the day for me, I put it on charge when I go to bed. By then the power is anywhere from 20 to 70% depending on how heavily I used it.
