Samsung Galaxy S

So if Vodacom already received stock of the Galaxy S must it first go though a test fase or has this already been completed?

We've heard that before, from all the networks :erm:

A friend of mine can't even get the Wave from MTN for his upgrade yet. Our networks are friggin useless, glad I didn't try to get my phone from one of them.
 
The birdy just yelled in my ear that Vodacom got stock. But don't take my word for it, phone your nearest shop. (And if they are up to date they will tell you you can order!!!)
 
Well, Vodashop in Vodaworld don't have it in stock yet... :( Still "waiting for warehouse to release it".

Any indication as to where this stock is available?
 
Not sure, and there's no deals available yet, BUT the stock is in warehouse so it will be available very very soon.

Well, then the response from Vodaworld makes sense. Hopefully it will be available on contract "very very soon" then. Mind you, maybe I can give my telecoms-company contact a call and arrange an upgrade through him. He'll be able to get me one the moment he has it in stock... :p
 
If Vodacom has stock in the warehouse, try phoning the upgrade department directly. Same thing happened when the Desire came out - the people in the shops had no idea the phone even existed, but the upgrades department had like 400 in stock and will courier the phone to your door. The number is in the Desire thread somewhere.
 
Sounds like a good idea... I might just do that!

EDIT: I believe the number is 082 1959.

I'm on the phone right now with them, they HAVE THE PHONE IN STOCK! :D
 
I got through very quickly and although the system was a bit slow on their side, my phone is ordered and will be couriered to me in the next 3 to 7 days :)

what contract are they giving it on. are they charging a ridiculous payin on top of that?
 
I'm on the Top Up 315, and the pay in is very reasonable, it's something like R1900, but I'm taking the "finance option" which is R94pm :)
Also the nice lady waived my upgrade admin fee :D
