Samsung Galaxy S

Finally got mine late yesterday afternoon! :) I'm just simply blown away, even after going at it for hours on end. The 720p video playback is smooth and the quility so crisp its really something else. Just started using Kies, again what a nice app this is compaired to the old samsung pc studio software. This phone must be one of the best out there! Very happy with my purchase.

Do any of you know how to make the Galaxy connect to an ad hoc network? I know it cant but is their a hack available?
 
Quick question

If you take out a 10mb data bundle for R10 it states on the MTN site the out of bundle price reduces from R2 to R1,

Is this correct and also how long is it effective for?

This is all i get when trying to send / receive mms's.
It just says Sending or Downloading.
 
How do I undo Root, and to get everything back to factory settings? and how do i get rid of this vodacom crap on my phone? Can I restore to a original Samsung rom? If I can where and how can I do it

Wait for the regulars to come... You can get rid of the Vodacom branding (:sick:), but you'll need to flash a stock or custom ROM. Check XDA Developers as well for loads of info and tips...

I'd also recommend trying a firmware update through KIES. My guess would be that you're then updating your SGS with a stock ROM from Samsung and should wipe the branding off your device. I'm waiting for FroYo to become available through KIES though... Roll on September!

Hi guys,

A friend and I are getting a Galaxy each soon. I want to import a cover and screen protector within the next few days. I've done a bit of research and it seems PDair and SGP are the way to go. Problem is shipping is very expensive for small orders. It becomes cheaper the more you order. Is anyone else looking to import cases/covers etc?
