Samsung Galaxy S10

As tempting as it is, never buy an import Samsung if you want Samsung Pay to work!!!
I think it's determined by whether or not Samsung Pay is supported in the country where you are buying the phone from.

If you buy a Samsung phone in the UK where Samsung Pay is supported, Samsung Pay will work here.

Perfect example would be the galaxy gear watch where only NFC is enabled in the SA firmware but the watch does support mst. Fortunately I could change the csc on gear to USA to enable the mst on the watch.

Lesson is to check if the country where you are buying from is supported by Samsung Pay. It could also mean that if and when the UAE does get Samsung Pay support, it should then start working in SA as well.

Bought mine in the US and mine works?
What model did you get? Did you have any region unlock issues or did you make a 10min local call before bringing it back?

I'm looking to get one from the US as well, it is the SM-G970FZYJTPA (SM-G970F/DS) and I've read that the dual sim models shouldn't be region locked.

I should be getting a S10 tomorrow. Upgrade from my S8.

Will the aftermarket wireless chargers for my S8 work with the S10?

S10 type c port stopped working. Had to do some cleaning with a needle. The amount of fabric fluff in there wow. Just like the S8 if you have in your pocket it will build up fabric fluff in the port and you would need to use a needle to clean the port out.
My S8 charger port hasn't been working for 1.5 years now, hence the wireless chargers.

I should have read these phone threads long ago.

Did you clean it? Is it working now?

I'm trying to clean it now. It seams as if there is a small stone stuck in one corner at the bottom of the hole.

If it's nice and clean the Type C cable should fit comfortably in and half a click when it's firmly in. It should not be able to just fall out or pull out. When you pull it out you should feel like there is a bump inside. Then you know it's connecting properly.

Has anyone bought a phone from Takealot before? Bought a lot of stuff from them over the years but never anything like this?

Thinking of getting the Galaxy S10+ and mulling over vendors. (not going for a contract)

bought a new sealed P30 lite from someone who won a competition and had their prize (P30 lite) delivered ex Takealot. No issues. All good.

Thanks, works like a charm now. I'm backing up my S8 to my laptop as we speak. Will probably get my new S10 later today or tomorrow.

How does one get the R500 off a phone cover for the S10?

Which program do I use to sync my old & new phones?

How is the S10e overall? Im looking to change from a Note 9. I am fed up with the curved screen and the shitty screen protectors. How is overall battery life / performance?
Also looking to get the Dual Sim model from Cell C or Telkom.

Why not wait for the note 10?
It's not very wise to trade a world class note 9 for the entry level S10E maybe S10+ the trade will be worth it.
