Does anybody know what would happen should a person freeze TW launcher with TB if Apex Launcher is set as the default launcher....? Thus leaving apex or even nova as the primary launcher running? I know force stopping TW through the apps settings page makes it a tab bit faster and less prone to FC's......

Since going to ICS Google services have been eating bandwidth. Anyone else?

I have a few must have apps to install. One of them is an app called DroidWall. It's a firewall so you can deny/allow 3G and/or WiFI access. Give it a go.

My must haves include:
-
- AdFree
- DroidWall (FireWall)
- ChainFire 3D
- jKay Deluxe
- ProxyDroid (Phone connection Proxy)
- SD Maid
- Diagnosis (It gives real time on screen diagnosis of your phone, for testing, very cool)
- Set CPU
- ShootMe (Screenshots and screen casts like a boss)
- Root Explorer
- SixAxis Controller (Use PS3 controller as a controller for your phone, YES ;D )
- Titanium Backup Pro
- Terminal Emulator
- Onavo (Data watcher)
- Hackers Keyboard (works wonderful in Terminal)
- Speed Test
- Team Viewer
- WiFi File explorer (browse my phone files over WiFi)
- WiFiKill

These are the best and most usefull apps ever that I NEED on my phone.

Hey all. Thanks for posting about your ICS experiences so far. It really helps to save time for those who don't want to go back and forth. I think I'll wait for a rock solid stock ICS ROM.

Ok, I've had ICS 4.0.3 XXLPQ running for 2 days now with no issues. Facebook just needed an upgrade. Other than that no force closes, no freezing, and it is running nicely. Battery life is about the same. One thing I do miss is being able to zoom in while recording full HD video. Touchwiz does still suck though.

Oh yeah. How do you take a screen shot with ICS? When I tried it the old fashioned GB way it did not work.

Or was that also a bug on my ROM?

Thanks.

Will remember that when I flash ICS again. Sticking to GB for now.

Maybe I had all the problems because I just did an upgrade and not a complete wipe and clean install.

Anyone care to tell me how to do that?

And will it Titanium Backup completely restore everything if I do go that route?

Press Volume down + Power button. Simple :)

Best to do a clean install. Use all the wipe options in CWM (Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvic Cache etc) and go to Mounts & Storage and click on Format System. Titanium Backup should restore everything.

Yes, no wipes are necessary. I have upgraded 2 friends' S2's to XXLPQ as well and no complaints. The official release is stable.

Finally got my phone back, got a scratch on my screen that was bothering me but lucky I found a dead pixel and some burn in so I got a new screen for free thanks to local warrantee, I now have a scratchless screen. I now want to start messing around with ICS, I have already tried the latest russian version XWLP2 and it feels quiet sluggish even after wipes, are all the firmwares this slow? Also I prefer the ASOP look of ICS so can any of you reccomend if I should try use CM9 even though it is still beta or use a rom like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1162715 . Thanks guys
