Of the topic from ICS, has anyone ever had a colour issue with their s2? I don't quite know how to explain it but the colour is very dark.
Hmm. I used these insructions to load vanilla ICS. Everything went okay. Odin says "PASS!"
but everything on my phones the same as it was. TouchWiz is still there...? What happened?
Maybe I need to go back to Gingerbread?
edit: I think I may have just flashed from SA ICS to UK ICS. Where can I get a plain ol' ICS ROM?! I'm looking on XDA but it's pretty confusing.
There is no such thing as vanilla ICS for the SGS2. It is just ICS and it looks the same as GB
True.
Main differences between Gingerbread and ICS on the Galaxy S2 are :
Screen is a bit brighter on auto
The system font
Settings menu
Data usage control
Improved video/graphics
Revamped Gmail
Can install Google Chrome Beta
Menus are now text, instead of graphics.
New internet browser
LPD firmware update now available, makes official sa update old again![]()
Like your screen brightness is set too low?

Disappointing. I really just want to get rid of TouchWiz. I guess CyanogenMod is the best way forward... ?
Face unlock?
Check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278Intratech's thread on XDA
Thanks for this!...In your opinion how does it compare to ICS 4.0.3?![]()
It contains GB and ICS firmware. The newest ICS firmware is LPD. It would be the last one on the list just before the frankenstein firmwares. Just read carefully. A popular firmware is the one that is from the Netherlands XEN. It will look something like XEN XWLPD. I will download it tomorrow myself and test it.
I wonder if it's worth it to mess around with more 4.0.3 ROMS.
If you look at Android Version history, the real improvements only come with 4.0.4 ....
Stability improvements
Better camera performance
Smoother screen rotation
Improved phone number recognition[66]

And CyanogenMod is 4.0.4... I tried at least 5 of the 4.0.3 ones of Intratech's thread, but always ended up restoring CM9 after a day or two.
