Why did you try the official rom. Was there issues with Supernexus?I was on stock Nordic but it feels to "heavy" for me. I am back on Supernexus. Love this rom![]()

Good question, I would also like to know if there are any issues with Supernexus, was tempted to try it before I flashed Slim.
Yes ... phone weighs in at 2.5kgs after update ...![]()
With all the bloatware just about, i think i came in at just under 2kg![]()
I wouldn't bother with either. SuperNexus is just a stripped down version of CM10.1 & Slim is GUI rework on top of a CM base.Good question, I would also like to know if there are any issues with Supernexus, was tempted to try it before I flashed Slim.

CyanogenMod CM10.1 is the definitave JB 4.2.2 code base (OS & drivers) for the i9100. All other 4.2.2 distributions on the S2 are largely built up from CM's foundation.
I would just use the latest CM10.1 Nightly. It gets refined every day, so if you wish to have the most debugged version of JB 4.2.2 its just a simple OTA update from the phone.
OTA Update - Delta, or complete download? How much data does an OTA update use?
This month will be the Samsung Galaxy SII's third birthday!!

I really love SlimRom...I think from all the roms I've used it has given me the least crap with the most functionality. And it's super quick, can't be more satisfied with it!
Don't you mean 2nd birthday?
I know it still feels good, but not THAT good!
My SII has served me well, but looking forward to moving onto the S4!
I am really enjoying Slim as well, probably the longest a have kept a ROM on my phone. Fast, stable and works.
Yep, 2nd birthdayIt was released in May 2011.

Try phonextreme, not sure if they carry the extended battery, but I bought a standard battery from them a week ago, will probably work out cheaper than from a store (if you can find one that actually has stock)Sad news.
My battery is starting to get swollen after 14 months of heavy use and also using it a lot while being charged. Now it is acting up very badly, charge it full, hour later phone shuts downs in an ugly flickering manner and then when i restart i can barely type in my sim pin then it shuts down again. Or if i wait a while and try again i might be able to use it for a few mins then it just cuts out again.
Where can I buy an extended battery for my S2? I see kalahari is out of stock.
PS. I am in Cape Town (Thornton area).
EDIT: Just phoned the Samsung Store in Canal Walk, the guy told me they are out of stock and are NOT expecting any more stock as they (Samsung) have decided not to import any more official batteries for the S2![]()
Is this true?
