I thought so, thanks.

Yeah I'm in a similar position. Not me. I'm keeping my device until the new Nexus comes along. It's sad because I'm due for an upgrade now. I'm tired of waiting months for Android updates and buggy CM builds (to try and get the new version of Android) due to lack of documentation.

Although I appreciate the hw engineering of the S4 (i9505), packing its screen (& battery) into such a slim chassis, my interest is starting to wane. The thought of having to run Samsung's vision of what Android should be (even if independently customised) for the foreseeable future, maybe its lifespan, doesn't sit well with me.
Anyway best to wait and see what comes out of Google IO e.g. new Nexus 4 LTE/5, Android 4.3/5.0 etc.
BTW: CM10.1 Nightlies run flawlessly on my S2 (in many ways better than Samsung's stock version).
CM10.1 Nightlies are designed to just overwite each other. I update almost every day, its a 10min non-disruptive OTA process (inc nandroid backup beforehand). You only need a full wipe first time around.Thanks. I'll check it out. I stopped flashing a while back as I got tired of having to setup my device from scratch each time.
JellyBam is built on the same CM10.1 JB4.2.2 foundation (kernel/drivers etc.) so in essence the same OS/ROM at a low level.I'm running JellyBam on my S2. It's fantastic.

The only area that still remains an issue is occasional GPU driver stability (hence why CM10.1 will never reach STABLE unless Samsung provides updated Mali code). I dont game on my S2, so take note its hit & miss with some (3D heavy) games if you do.

I suspect this has more to do with what you're running on it rather than CM10.1 itself. You must completely obliterate everything Samsung off the phone before moving to a Google based 4.2.2 ROM.The latest cm10.1 nightlies are a bit buggy, hope they can resolve it soon as the phone starts becoming unresponsive after a few hours, maybe a memory leak somewhere. A restart fixes it. That is the downside of using bleeding edge software though.
Moved to S4 already. Might pop in here from time to time.
I fancy a Nexus 5 for my next phone.
And hoping that Sony will be making the Nexus 5.![]()

The std wipes are not enough, use something like GS2ROMnuke. I do temporarily switch back to Samsung based ROMs to check for improvements and have no hassle if the phone is wiped properly between switches (full nandroid restores, not app restores).
As mentioned I have no stability issues even though running pretty much full house with everything enabled, ±50 popular apps, DashClock with ext, live wallpaper, Spirit FM radio etc.
Are you interested in doing an S2-S4 comparison?
Night & Day...
The screen is amazing, the reviews can any tell you so much, you really got to see it. Everything just 'pops' out, and text is crisp and sharp.
What about performance? How discernible is the difference?
@Mike: Any reason you didn't go for this one? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Gal...=1367144491&sr=8-5&keywords=samsung+galaxy+s4
