Hold [Vol Up]+[Home]+[Pwr] buttons until phone reboots (i9100 splash screen).

EDIT: OK re-read, does your recovery have an option to mount USB?

EDIT2: If not, Philz kernels have the best USB mount function. Download the Odin flashable version here. Boot into Philz recovery, mount filesystems over USB, copy (1) GS2ROMNuke (2) CM10.1 (3) gapps .zips onto phone, then install (in sequence).

BTW CM10.1 install will overwrite the Philz kernel with its own (you'll just use it temporarily).

I was worried about the battery mostly. So I installed jellybam again and charged. I was not sure if it would charge in recovery/download mode, thanks CodeMaster for pointing that out to me. Gonna try the nuke and flash now.

Thanks Roman4604 for the help, got CM10.1 installed now. So just gotta download Gapps and my apps again, restore my contacts etc...

EDIT: Does the standard modem work or do I need to flash a new one?

Hi, I'm hoping I can get a little help here.

I want to flash the official Jelly Bean rom onto my phone. I know I can get it from Samsung firmware

I just need to know which area has the more reliable/compatible JB

And are there any real pros from going to JB over ICS?

Also cynogenmod...it is worth it?

I'm with Cell C. Is the Spanish version any good?

Thanks

Spanish, German, Nordic, Netherlands... They are al fine. Large improvement over ICS imho. Can't speak for CM.

Standard modem is perfect. Did you get round to flashing?

3000th post, yay...

But it means that I will be bidding adieu to you guys in the near future. The Note 2 has exceeded my expectations for a device. I have not done much tinkering (besides the obvious ROM flash), but this is a device that I am absolutely sold on. I hated the term phablet- but now I don't see myself being able to NOT use one.

As a parting gift, I have two mint S2's for sale. Both a year old with all accessories and original boxes. I will be putting them up for sale soon, but I will give you guys dibs.

R2k each, with one possessing a screen protector, and the other a PDAir case. I will also load any ROM you wish as part of the deal, and reset the flash counters.

Great deal. I'm sure these will go quickly.

4am last night...the german official JB was flashed on to my was virgin s2...What a huge difference. It's like a whole new phone! 4.1.2

The battery drain seems to be a bit high but that's most likely because I was fiddling the whole day.

Check out for battery drain, I gave up on the official rom because battery would drain heavily when the phone was on standby even.

I am still amazed with the drain on your S2. I had more than one version of the official fw on mine and the drain was slightly worse than on ICS - but that was because of the new features.

Doesn't bother me really, it got me to move to cm10.1 so job well done!
