There are places where you can download it from if you don't want to wait. I downloaded it a couple of days ago when the rollout began, but to be honest I like the old Gmail app more.

Got mine tonight as well!

I do like it a lot, cos the categories is really cool and helpful to me.

And finally you can swipe from left for the menu and up down to refresh your email.

That is weird. If you can't pin the problem to the store, then I would fix permissions in recovery, restart, clear play store cache and retry

Nevermind. Its one of my old tricks.

Did the same when I initially bought an S1 and people said "for Rx more you can get an S2". Well geez, don't you think I would have done that if I actually HAD Rx more? So unless you are offering or Capitan Obvious....

In Play Store itself.

Go to settings in play store and select update via wifi only.

Seems I will be parting with my S2 after 8 months. Just bought a Nexus 4 from Vinodh (thanks myBB classifieds). Our baby chewed my wife's Desire S into a state where the power button no longer works so she'll be using my S2 from now on.
