I have to agree with you. Everyone's needs are different. I have 64GB and even that's not enough for me since I always have at least one nandroid backup (5GB), app backups (1 - 2GB), music (3GB) and don't forget games which can take up 1 - 2GB each. Then there's movies and videos and various download files and documents.

+1

I've got my music collection on my 32GB SD card and it also acts as a backup, should my pc crap out.

Lots of pictures and documents as well, so I would also not mind having a 64GB SD card.

*Tried last night to format my 32GB SD card to exFAT with Ubuntu 13.04, no joy. Think I need a different USB card reader. :(

Let me get this straight.... you are using your phone as backup device?!

If you have read my previous post properly, you would have seen that I said "it also acts as a backup, should my pc crap out".

All my music is on my pc, synced to an external drive....but if my apartment goes up in flames, then I still have it on my phone.

*I can send you an illustration if you still do not understand. ;)

Maybe he just puts on his phone what he needs and not use it as a NAS which you seem to prefer.
:D
Depends :
Are you seriously watching 8GB of photos on your phone?
Are you seriously watching HD movies on your phone?
Are you seriously hearing a difference between 192kbps AAC and FLAC on your phone?
Actually I can hear the difference between 16 and 24 bit FLAC... And yes I do appreciate it. So being aware of the difference, why would I choose to listen to inferior quality?

Exactly.
Golden rule: No space is ever too much.

Really, when playing back on the phone you hear the difference?

No need, they are Seagates running on an AMD APU, it will never fail.

Seagate? The crappiest hard drives ever made, and still being made.

Laptop crashed. It's a Seagate. PS3 drive malfunctions. It's a Seagate.

Mind you, it did present me with the opportunity to replace the crap with Western Digital drives, albeit at a price.

But it was so worth it. Happy now.

There are some good free apps to be downloaded from the Samsung App store...

I downloaded the following :

Polaris Office full version
Samsung mobile print (wireless)
Samsung remote
Photo Editor
Video Editor

All free!

How is 8GB enough?! My photo's alone are 8GB.

All my albums are in FLAC. ~2-3 albums per GB.. That means some artist's discography can't even fit on 8GB...

Then there's series, movies, and music and other youtube video's.
One HD movie alone can be more than 8GB.

PDF's too.

Are we seriously having this conversation?

Wow, epic usage of your device...

Since you listen to FLAC, I hope that you are using Neutron Player?

Ironically enough, the best hard drives that I have owned have been Seagate. Using my old PS3 hard drive as an external, still going strong. Western Digital though- I will stay very far away from...

Anyone being able to download the new Gmail app from the Play Store?

Already configured my Gmail desktop app with the new tabs and it is absolutely fabulous.

Was mentioned on Engadget that Google has start rolling out the update, but zero update for my S2. :(

There are places where you can download it from if you don't want to wait. I downloaded it a couple of days ago when the rollout began, but to be honest I like the old Gmail app more.
