I'm debating getting one of those $11 docks from eBay.

But I'm suspect of the quality. And not sure if the phone will slot in after I get my Neo Hybrid case.

Also, I hope the dock doesn't require AC power to operate, I only want USB charging, I won't plug a no-name generic Chinese special AC adapter into my R6k phone :p And even then I'd probably throw away the USB cable and use one of my existing ones.. I've seen really bad results from those cheap USB cables, some of them have even been wired incorrectly!

I've been seeing lots of people complaining about their camera making a clicking sound. I thought this was normal?

Who here has a silent camera?

Any of you know why the phone auto-locks during a call?

Moreover, does the phone always locks like every 5sec, kinda annoying.

I had it from stock and every rom I had. I can actually see something move...

If you're referring to the auto focus lens adjusting, that is normal, it's the mechanics that is cuasing the lens to move. I can hear it on my old Canon Powershot A95 if I listen hard enough. If you put your hand in front of your phone's lens, them move it away, then put it back (to trigger the focusing) you should hear it on demand.

I just received my silicone cover from dealextreme and it is perfect. I paid $2.30 including shipping and it took three weeks for delivery.

I can't believe that people pay so much more for the same cover.

I also ordered an extra USB cable and a car charger for $4.70.

That is less than R50.00 for all three components. :D

Here are the links to the products:

Nice, just be careful. I've had badly made USB cables do .. bad things.. I'd test it on some other devices first, or with a volt meter. I'm over paranoid, but have just burnt my fingers before.

It only happens when I switch the phone on and when I start the camera.

I love this phone. Got it on Monday and cant stop playing. The keypad is amazingly accurate and responsive.

Hi all,

Just got my SGS2. How long should I charge it for initially or should I drain the battery first before I do a full charge?

There are a bunch of different opinions on other forums...Im leaning towards let it drain and then do a full charge

Thanks...First things first though...I need a cover. My current DHD cover is a little big for the SGS2.
There are various covers but most seem to go for the SGP Neo Hybrid ones at sgpstore.com. However, I prefer a genuine leather pouch. These cases just make the phone bulkier when using it.

Yup, I only use those leather pouches with the pull tab. I like to have my phones true form when using it
