Nice! I want the desktop dock. Any idea if there's enough room for it to sit in there with a Neo Hybrid case on it?
There isn't any. U have to remove the case. It's not adjustable. I have my work's standalone Garmin GPS so I really don't need to use my phone for navigating.

No problem. There are some decent free apps around.
I find that if I battle to get a lock in Google Nav or Drive 'n Walk, then I load up GPS Essentials and allow it to get a lock, then swith to nav software.
I have also started leaving GPS on in the settings to help with quicker locks, and it doesn't seem to knock battery life.

LoL. GPS Status out GPS Essentials in. Kiff app, thanks CodeMaster

Im using GPS Essentials (thx CodeMaster) and loving it, locks in about 5 seconds, get about 10-15...

Sorry, I should have been more clear, was referring to the desktop dock, not the car dock ;)

So iv been doing some checking and even though the Sammie original dock seems the best quality/design it doesnt work with the Neo Hybrid case, removing the case each time would be a schlep so I ended up getting this :

http://www.exportprive.com/anymode-charging-dock-with-stand-samsung-galaxy-i9100-p-16205.html,

The case without the phone seems to fit and I will confirm fitment once my phone arrives tomorrow, this dock however does not charge nor sync the phone only a spare battery can be charged which kinda sucks.

Another dock that accomodates a case, syncs with your pc and charges the phone is this one which is ideal :

Unfortunately it has that cheap and nasty look to it :(

So I dropped (read fumbled) my SGS2 from my pocket onto the paving today! Landed on the corner :(

But i'm happy to report not one scratch, nick or crack anywhere on the phone! :D Has an SGP ultra capsule on it. Best cash I've spent so far!

Surely all the docks that have USB charge AND sync by default?

I do NOT want to use some dodge AC adapter, and it's just for my PC desk anyway.

Apparently not, even the original Samsung dock doesnt allow for syncing to your pc.

The micro-USB is not suitable for a data connection to a PC... if you want to do that you'll have to connect the phone directly to the PC, not via the dock - Amazon review

When you say snycing, do you mean with KIES, or USB access (mass storage/other) is not available?

All I want is to drop the phone in, have it charge via USB and copy files off, then pull it off and walk away once charged.

Yes one can still sync via KIES but USB access isnt available, the Samsung dock doesnt charge the device via USB but through the original micro-USB charger supplied with the phone which plugs into the dock.

So then the USB cable is different somehow?

Surely one could replace the dock's USB cable, then it should just behave like a regular 'stand' and USB should function as per usual cable hookup.
