Or try Westcrip's Resurrection Remix AOKP ROM. As far as I can tell IMO, it us a very popular ROM, and very stable too. For a more 'pure' ICS experience, choose between that and CM9.

I installed the Resurrection-remix_ics_V1.9_AOKP-B36-4.0.4 man this is awesome the best yet that I have yet had although the ICS 4.0.3 is also amazing!!! Love the bootup interface, extra features such as Flipchart exTweaks, oi file manager etc & has Nova & Apex launcher intergration (Obviously not the premium versions) but still a ROM to rekon with...:-) Only hitch with Flipchart I can't set it to South Africa ie.e. News Sports Financial etc...

Awesome, hopefully you're another convert! I see that v 1.9.1 is out, with some stability improvements (on 1.9 I had issues with the media scanner, and my '2G' network was very weak - it didn't want to send Whatsapps). I flashed back to v 1.8, but I'll give v 1.9.1 a go now!
 
I went with CM9. i have a few little problems:

My mobile data! It doesn't work. I'm on Cell C and I suspect that I need to set the APN settings manually. I tried *147# but I get no message with settings. What are the setting that I need to manually imput?

My wireless signal strength is worse :( I used to have fairly bad signal in parts of my house 'cus the AP is not positioned ideally, but now I get no signal in those places.

Also Opera mini won't work it says it cannot connect to the internet even when I'm on wi-fi and other apps can connect.

I'm by no means an expert, I've only been running CM9 for about 2 weeks now, but: to get my mobile data to work I had to clear the proxy and port values from the APN settings, did a reboot and all went well.

Maybe try that and let us know
 
My APN settings were blank at first. I've now manually added Cell C's settings, but they give no MCC value and my phone's telling me it needs to be 3 digits....
 
:D That worked! Which is weird because it's not the first time I've done a reboot. I selected the set to default option and it all went to blank again. I guess the subsequent reboot pulled the info from my sim card or something. Much appreciated!
 
..and now Opera mini is working. Also odd. I guess it was looking for mobile data and wasn;t happy with just WiFi.

I'm on the v 1.9.1 it's the latest...Just minor issues with Flipchart at the mo but I think it will inprove but hey love the ROM it's awesome....:-)
 
I'm still on 1.9, although I would probably go back to 1.8. I have been using Tabled mode since 1.3 and everything was fine until 1.9. Tablet mode works fine but don't try to install new apps because your phone will just reboot. Don't know what changed from 1.8 to 1.9 to do this, it's a pity because I really love the app layout in Tablet mode.

Did you install the latest 1.9.1? I installed new apps from my first ROM & works ok! (Running Dual Rom)
 
on a totally unrelated subject...

Anyone know how I can access the full supersport website on my s2 in order to stream live sport via the site (works fine with G10.1, but phone keeps going to mobile site which has no link to vid streaming!)

I did a clean install of 1.9, everything works fine I can install apps but as soon as I load the Tablet mod the phone just reboot every time I want to install something. Seems like some incompatibility in Tablet mode.

Anyways I'm still on 1.9 running in normal mode and everything is working as it should. Don't see a need to waste bandwidth to upgrade to 1.9.1, will wait until there is some big changes or maybe even a port of the S3 rom.

You can try the "Request desktop site" option from the menu.

Is your GS2 on Android4.0? If so then in the web browser click the Menu button on the phone (on the left side of home key) in that menu scroll to the option 'Request Desktop site'.
If you're not on 4.0 then go to play store and download Dolphin HD web browser, it will allow changing its user agent to Desktop.

Are you on ICS or GB? The ICS browser will show you these options.
