I don't understand the con. There is only so much that can change in a year. The fact that they took a winning recipe and gave it an upgrade should be good enough. Few people will exchange an S22 Ultra for this, but someone upgrading from an older model should be more than satisfied.

I think the phone being so good that is the only Con they were able to provide. Also this part of the review might help:

The ultimate Galaxy smartphone for 2023 (that doesn't bend in the middle) doesn't bring anything ground-breakingly new and exciting - how's that for a single con?

Hi Gents,

Can anyone confirm that they will give you R10k off for any qualifying device that is Grade A, B or C as per the T&Cs below - confirm as in you've actually gone through with it and it's worked? Cos that is quite the deal then!

4.1.5. The offer outlined in clause 6 below will only be provided to participants in respect of Pre-Owned Device(s) that are deemed by the Trade-In Partner through inspection of the Pre-Owned Device to be a Grade A, B or C device as per the table below:

Grading:Description:
Grade ADevice in full working condition
Grade BFaulty device with physical damage such as scratches, dents, cracks etc.
Grade CFaulty device with damaged or Faulty LCD
Grade DDevice that does not turn on or that only turns on with an external power source

4.1.6. In the event that the Pre-Owned Device does NOT switch on without a charger and/or is given a Grade D grading, then the Pre-Owned Device will not qualify for the offer.

They had the same deal last year. Many of us on on the forum took advantage of the offer. Have a look at the S22 thread.

I can't imagine why this year will be any different.

Yes its fine, expect samsung store seems to want to see the LCD working even know its not a requirement. Think its just that store giving me hassle.

Hoping to pick up s23 ultra today!

Let us know if you are able to get one.

Yes the Samsung especially the one in Sandton was very difficult last year if the screen wasn't working
