Cool.
There's a few things I didn't install though. Some bloatware (like Chaton etc.) and the option to install a script that keeps your free memory at 200MB. Not sure why someone would do that, sounds like a crap idea to mess with Android memory management (especially when using custom loaders I think, expect lots of screen redraws when you load bigger apps... I could be wrong though)

Tough one that. Depends on the user I guess. I will say though that Custom launchers are probably better.
I prefer Go Launcher EX but I know many people love Nova launcher.
 
I'm thinking about doing everything over again. This time not restoring from Titanium Backup. For some reason if I use the standard Home launcher the phone crashes when I add icons to the home screen. Then says something about "motorola home". I don't have a Motorola:confused:

Maybe I must do a fresh intall of the Omega ROM and then just install all the apps one by one that I had on my S3. I just hope I don't miss anything. lol

Try installing someting that lists your apps neatly (like the Uninstaller app I have) then take some screenshots.
 
I am having major battery issues with my phone and about to turf it on the bin :banghead:

No matter what I do, battery drain is hectic.
Stock ICS (yup, even flashed this to eliminate any JB probs).
Mobile data off.
Wi-Fi off.
Power save mode on.
Rebooted my phone after doing the above, waited 40 mins or so, then checked better battery stats and cannot find anything obvious.

Can anyone help?

With Wi-Fi on, power saving off, etc... I average 15% PH. With my phone dumbed down it is 8.3. Should be like 1 or 2. :confused:

Hmmm.... Mine goes apes**t sometimes when I load a movie or something on the Internal SD. Might be your media scanner process or a hardware issue. But even so I've been pushing the limits these days by leaving GPS and Wifi on all day and I get to about 30% with mild usage (Whatsapp, Viber calling and Facebook updating etc.) and reinstalling ROMs, backup up data etc. by 5PM.
Try installing Watchdog Lite and remove any process managers if you have any (they're all crap and they only cause more issues).
If it's a process running Watchdog will let you know.... if not we'll take it from there.

EDIT: From what it looks like in those screenshots you have a lot of "media scanner" and "Alarm manager" etc. services going on there. Get rid of everything that's supposed to make your phone last longer. In fact, I'd recommend a fullblown reinstall of your ROM (or, a ROM... I recommend the Omega GS3 ROM, been running it all day and so far it seems a tad better than the Polish JB version), just backup your contacts and start from scratch.

I am thinking along those lines too.
Battery Monitor reports my battery health as good, and when charged voltage is at the expected level. Makes me doubt it being a battery problem.
The BB stats say different though. Can't see anything taxing my battery there.

Will just buy another battery. If anything at least I will have a spare.

I can understand klapping the battery when using it like this, but I am testing by rebooting them leaving screen off for 40 mins or so. Should be deep sleep with maybe 1% used.

Watchdog is installed. Holding thumbs.
 
My wife and I have 4 batteries between us (1 spare plus the original one each). We use desktop chargers to charge the flat battery. We never actually have to plug our phones to a power supply to charge the battery. We simply remove the charged battery, shut down the phone, swap batteries, power up, put flat one in charger and off you go. Batteries are all marked so we can notice a trend if one starts messing about. Original Samsung batteries are cheap enough.

Where to get online? Everywhere I look tends to be a rip off battery.

Are you using the charging cable that came with the S3?
Two nights ago I started freaking out, my phone didn't even have enough juice to boot up but it was plugged in and charging. Realized later I was using an old Nokia micro USB cable, switched to the S3's cable and all was fine. Strange.

Ye. The charging is fine though. It is when off charge that my kak begins.

I bought two of these kits (Samsung battery and desktop charger) from Kalahari while the price was R255.00 each, then it jumped to R400.00:
