Samsung Galaxy S3

Something is wrong with his S3 then. I've yet to come across a phone snappier than mine, especially with power saving off.

Sooo, that is a no? You dismiss a performance increase, based on what? That your phone is the snappiest? Haha, not a genius are you?
Since no one knows, I guess I will flash and report.

What If I already have the Polish version running on my phone, can I just flash the Swedish one over it?

Phone is not rooted. Flashed via odin.

Yip, that is what I did with the French version over the Polish version. No issues. I personally would go for the French over the Swedish if you were looking to do it as it is a later version. Not sure if there are actually any differences though. Anyone?

I'm going to assume you're 12 based on your grammar, so I'll exercise patience. I only commented on the fact that the S3 shouldn't be so slow that any other handset has a noticeable improvement in performance. I answered in this manner because your post didn't warrant any other form of response ("haha", crappy Rootbox, bogged down S3, feelings of inadequacy with S2 etc.).

To answer your question, no, because Rootbox is low down on the list of best ROM's.

Good to know, thanks. I've noticed some video stutter using different players on the Polish version.

Should I wait for the SA version or is the French one pretty much the most stable atm?

There's certainly no guarantee the ZA version will be released tomorrow.

Hey Guys

Decided to take the plunge
Just picked up my Amber Brown S3 sealed in box for 4K :D

Any advice on initial setup? Should I install JB or wait as i heard it might be out tomorrow?

Bryn, Bryn, Bryn. I am 11, please type slower so I can better understand your inadequacy in understanding my question. Next time I will use visual aids just for you. ;)

I asked if anybody had experience with RootBox, not if you had an opinion on my experience. Since you presumably have not tested said ROM, I don't care for your opinion. Even if you recommended a different vanilla JB ROM I would have understood, and now you even comment on it being low on the "list of best ROM's". (And no, I do not care about your opinion about this as you have rid yourself of all credibility with me)

If anyone has had good experiences with a similar ROM, please feel free to report.

Regards

ps. sup bro, hope ya feelin' my gram onit this tym ayt.

What is Rootbox? Download something to check what speed the processor is working at.

Thanks, I will check it out:), but I suspect it has more to do with it being a lighter ROM and more recent MALI drivers.

This is the internet. I can comment on any matter pertaining to a post. My comment was directly relevant however, as you stated that you were considering a ROM to sort out your dad's stock S3's sluggishness compared to your S2, which is a stupid reason to flash a ROM. The quickest solution is to get rid of whatever crap is slowing it down past a bloody S2.

If you researched S3 ROM's for even 5 minutes, you'd know that Omega is the best for Samsung stock and SuperNexus is the best for vanilla. Or just install either, remove all bloatware, and use a custom launcher.

I currently use Omega, I used stock for months, I've tried SuperNexus and I own all the major launchers. I like to think I'm aware of the many benefits of different ROM's and launchers vs. stock, and general quickness ranks somewhere near the bottom.

Now kindly relieve this thread of your presence.

Some one told me jelly mean was being released today for S.A.? Is this because scant seem to find this?

Yes, according to my email, they had planned release today, but as you can see, the date was "not fixed".
It would imply though that release is imminent.

Thanks, you just proved my point. You are quite predictable.

You will most probably find the firmware on sammobile first. Keep checking there is my suggestion.

Or if you're running an "unmodified" SIII, leave it connected to Kies and wait for the pop up notice of update ;)
Korea is 7 hours ahead of us, it's already after 6pm there...who knows if that makes any difference in this case.

Sweet, will do :D

You might end up with you phone connected to Kies waiting for a pop up for a long time.

No doubt :wtf:
Kies doesn't work with my modded phone, my Korean contact has promised to email me the moment it's pushed out to the Kies server though.

I see there's a UK JB release just out.
